Why are people saying "Short Term Appointment"? we are only a handful of games into a new season, why do we need some kind of stop gap....doesn't make sense to me
I wanted Manning or Barry but upon sleeping on it I think Mowbray is the right next appointment out of those seriously linked at least.
This season needs to be all about stability and the next about pushing for playoffs. Once we are stable here we can try something different to get up. But appointing somebody with no experience now could be a disaster.
My favourite would still be Mark Robins tho. But he signed a new contract in the summer so compensation will be massive (ironic this isn’t it)
Mowbray would keep us up and consolidate no doubt, but would he take us to the eventual next step? Why are people saying "Short Term Appointment"? we are only a handful of games into a new season, why do we need some kind of stop gap....doesn't make sense to me
Smacks of bookies manipulating a dead market.7/1 now for Manning
Here we go
At least he waited till after the matchIt's going to be Doddsy for the Rotherham game isn't it. Looks like Canning has ****ed off to Stoke as well.
I'm not sure on that. I think it's just part and parcel of the DoF set up. The club operates in the same way regardless of head coach. You’d think the incoming manager might have had to sign off on diamond going on loan, even if as a courtesy. As it could have waited a few days. Which would suggest it is done.
Jewson Bennette plays a similar role though. You’d think the incoming manager might have had to sign off on diamond going on loan, even if as a courtesy. As it could have waited a few days. Which would suggest it is done.
I don’t think he’s disputing that, I think he’s speculating a deal for a new manager maybe done as there’s the possibility they’d have to sign off on this, although I don’t think that’s the case, we were bringing players in on deadline day in January when we sacked Johnson a day earlierJewson Bennette plays a similar role though.
If it is Mowbray NOW, to stabilise the club, then by default it must be Dyche as the next manager/coach/dishwasher/kitman /whateverThere's always a reason not to go for someone without the experience. When Johnson went, we wanted someone who knew how to get promotion. If Mowbray takes us to 12th this season and then leaves, no-one will be arguing for the unproven manager, they'll be wanting Dyche et al who have "taken teams out of this league before".
I don't mind if it's Mowbray. But I also think we've got a strong set of ideals and a philosophy. If Speakman wants to take his shot on an unknown based on ideals then I'm open to that too.
Mowbray 1/2
Manning 3/1 now
What story mate?the manning thing will all be down to that fake bbc journo posting that story earlier and it leading to loads of people lumping onto him
As has been said before… **** off… then, once you’ve ****ed off, keep on ****ing off some moreYou must log in or register to see media
