What an absolutely embarrassing moron. I hope the south shields lads that know him take the piss out of him everytime they see him. We are a newly promoted team they are a champions league club with apparently a much better squad than ours. They are underperforming long may it continue we are fighting for every point and are playing some good football. He's a typical mag I'm afraid they think they are so superior and are hurting so much hear it every day that we've had an easy start and wait till afcon comes then what. Let's just enjoy the ride is my reply oh and now Mind the gap.

He was so bitter and childish comes across as a proper tit even before they get the lads fan on. Then he gets even worse and tops it off with bet ya any money we beat ya 10-0, which is ridiculous!

Like the lad said you brought me on to talk to him I was only going to ask your opinion on RLB, all they want to talk about is us!

Pathetic!

If a poster from not606, and Sunderland supporter, was found to have been responsible they'd be mocked to death on here, RTG and everywhere else.

It would be bad enough if this was a Mag who'd been asked to comment on Sunderland, but he actually called the radio specifically for that reason. It was hilarious hearing him waffle about Newcastle, for a moment, but it was clear he'd only called to have a go at 'Mackems' <laugh>

This is 'the richest club in the world', in the Champions League and with ridiculously expensive players ...

... but the horrible icy fingers of fear are creeping around their throats, and choking them.

Still thinking about it, what makes me laugh about people like this is they expect the presenters to agree and support their stupid ****ing childish bullshit! <doh>

Its a shame they can't call into Match of the day, I'm sure there's a particular pundit that would happily agree with him. Quite frankly I find some of their attitudes genuinely pathetic towards Sunderland, the city and the people. Some not all. I find the "Geordies" not from Newcastle are the ones that pipe up the most. Sunderland have supporters from mixed areas, I Washington, Consett, Northumberland etc, and the ones that swore there devotion to Newcastle are usually the gobshite. Its always funny to ask one where they were born and live hoping they say Washington do you can simply retort with "Who empties your bin", just for them to reply instantly with notes of panic with "Aye but I've got a Tyneside post code. I was born in Sunderland "General", live a mile away from the stadium yet never lower myself to hoy it in their faces. Also the Heeds dwellers from the heed can always be dethroned by simply saying "Can you not support your local team"?

It really upset him that we said we winning the league after the first couple fixtures! **** off mate, taking a few tongue I cheek comments all serious!

Hendon?

On paper our start was "reasonable", not easy. In our 8 games we've had to play Man U (they might not be great at the minute, but that's more to do with the manager than the squad), Aston Villa (last season Champions League, this season Europa League after narrowly family to get champions League on the last day of the season), Crystal Palace (FA cup winners, and many peoples dark horses for a top 6 finish this season) and Nottingham Forest (finished 7th last season to qualify for the Europa league but should have been in the conference league) and Brentford (10th in the EPL last season). Of our opening fixtures, only West Ham, Wolves (14th and 16th last season in the EPL) and newly promoted Burnley would have been considered "winnable" at the start of the season, and we lost to Burnley. But none were easy "gimmes". We could easily have lost to Brentford, Villa, Palace, Forest and Man U along with Burnley, only drawing today against Wolves and be sitting on 4 points. If we were, that's what was expected of us. But, let's face it, the mags have only won twice this season, against two teams we've beaten (Wolves and Forest), both games at home (we had to play Forest away), they'd either lost or drawn every other game including drawing with Villa(mimicking our result when we were down to 10 men). Both starts are basically comparable, theirs SLIGHTLY harder due to having to play Liverpool and Arsenal, but outside that most of the teams are of similar level. Their start on paper was "reasonable", just like ours. They can't take that we've had a better start than them on roughly comparable fixtures, so have to make excuses for it.
Great post.

We're only just out of League One ...

... but they're absolutely obsessed with Sunderland.

Seriously, concentrate on your own team man.

I didn't know the Newcastle score until I was on the train to Central Station ... I bet this clown watched our game in his bedroom.

Same mate thought they’d pinched a late point.

Gotta love Welbeck.

Yeah they really are obsessed with us, when reading Sunderland posts on various Sunderland social media platforms a lot of the first replies are from mags. It’s pathetic.

If they were genuinely the behemoth of a club they think they are and were genuinely streets ahead of us they wouldn't give a toss about us. The fact that that they were still obsessed enough to turn up in the home ends at our away games when we were at our lowest ebb in the third tier says it all. I very much doubt, for example, that when Stoke were in the Premier league their fans would wear Stoke kits in the home end at Port Vale away games, or Forest fans wearing their shirt at Notts. County games. They truly are pathetic aren't they.

I think this relates to the newer supporters - the lads I grew up with have reluctantly accepted we have started OK and are complimentary of Xhaka etc. However idiots like the caller would have been the first to ring had we been rooted to the bottom to say told you so. People like that couldn't imagine we would be ahead of Burnley never mind the Mags. Not helped by MOTD having to virtually take the piss to get Shearer to say something

I don't know one of us who are blowing the trumpet that we are flying and will be a force this year. We have quietly accepted a good start but most of us know there will be some bumps in the road
