we all know we are desperate for a big striker and although I think Benteke is out of Mr shorts spending I did hear Wilfred Bony could be available for £13m. I don't see why we can't bid for him I also think this would be a better buy than sahko anyone else read where Bony is available for £13m

This is on transfer thread and in a few papers, would be criminal if we didn't go for the lad.

He's opposite to Defoe, he's strong, he's athletic, he's proven and he would change the whole dimension of our attacking options.

Given that Moyes signed Lukaku, I'm sure we must, must get involved in the fight for this lad.

very good player Bony in my opinion. Who else is there ? Sakho failed his medical at WBA, Berihino ? he is good, if it meant selling Kone for say £14 m for Bony , I like Kone but it is easier to get a defender in than striker.

I think its a good point, if Kone was to go then a big signing of a Striker like Bony or Benteke would help justify the Kone sale to the fans.

Again wages will be the issue not the fee.

This go too solution of a big striker, tends to overestimate their value, and in todays market most proven ones are well beyond our pocket. Perhaps the answer might be to look for players with that knack of scoring goals in the lower leagues, and use Borini and Watmore together up front in away games when and if Defoe needs a breather. Give our scouts or Moyes ? time to find an alternative to risking the kitty on one big gamble. For in my opinion Bonny comes with a risk, as does Benteke.

Chumpionship strikers are costing this much now. Not inc wages.

I think Bony went City for the right reasons. Thought he'd be a good option, thought he'd get games etc, believed he was good enough.

I think the thought process behind a failed move is the key factor, ahead of the actual success or failure, if you are looking to be the 'club after'.

We took Johnson, who was similar to Bony in that he went as he thought it was his level, and for all he was patchy, he was also massive, the lad won us an incredible amount of points.

Still fuming about AJ. What a nugget. Loved him as a player.
May have been lazy at times but compared to Lens he was like Mr. Enthusism
