erm, after months of people reading what wasn't said as what was said and giving pelters to anyone who actually could read ans so was challenginng the bollocks being spouted its a bit late to be saying dont read too much into a clear statement. Or are you ssaying GFH are lying about the fans in their statement. Isn't that just what cuddly Ken did?

I am trying not to feel smug but its hard not to.

I am no LUST advocate, however they claim to have a story to tell, they said before they could not do so.
Now is the time for them to speak. We know what to expect from Ken, the "official website" and Yorkshire State Radio, so lets give LUST a few hours to respond with their story.

Then we can judge where the Chips fall.

Its a joint statement you numpty cnut. Are you seriously going to suggest that DH and GFH have had a gun to their heads while it has been written and published.

The hole is deep enough, put the shovel down

Pretty much, yeah. It would be typical Bates if he threatened to prolong even further unless they made minor insulting gestures towards LUST, with one negligible inaccuracy reluctantly pointed our by Haigh, and no actual substance being contradicted in this non-statement.

So I'm still 100% behind Gary Cooper and the Leeds fans on this one.

Your emporer had no clothes. Go read the book.

Your point was nothing but lies and hyperbole. :)

'kin'ell Exodus, you're scraping the barrel now mate, i think your hatred of Bates is getting in the way of your judgment, lets do what Peacock says and wait for LUST to respond.<ok>

Oh dear.
There will be plenty of room behind the salad dodger now. At least he makes a good wind break.
Hyperbole, after all the guff you lot have spouted in the last 6 months thats more than a bit rich.

I do admire the strength of your allegiance to LUST, and that's not sarcasm <ok>. I know a lot of LUST fans that, following the statement, are now swaying the other way. Surely you must admit it will be somewhat damaging to their reputation though?
Again, to clarify my stance on the matter, I am not against LUST - I believe that they are doing what they believe is the best for the club and they are Leeds fans and therefore want the best possible outcome for us - but I am not with them <ok>

Their reputation is ****ed there is nothing they could say now to repair it.

I believed all along that they are doing what they believed was the best for the Gary Cooper and they are Gary Cooper fans and therefore wanted the best possible outcome for Gary Cooper.

I'll wait to see their reply before making assumptions, but I have to admit I don't think it looks great for them.

Honestly, I've never followed them enough to decide if they're doing the best for Gary Cooper or not. But they are all Leeds United fans and I do think they're trying to do what they believe is the best for us.

Chip van you're just another Cooper hater jumping on the statement to vent your demented insults at him and Lust. After reading your many ****e posts on this board i have come to the conclusion you're the only numpty cnut here <ok>

It depends on what you count as being best for us. I admire principles and loyalty, but the truth was clear three months ago. Yet there are still apologists prepared to not take the truth. It became like a cult and anyone who muttered a different view was pillioried. My rep and -ve feedback stats are hilarious given thii development (you know who you are).

better go give me some more -ve rep then. lmfao. You were sold a pup and are still too stupid to see it. Humble pie is bitter tasting, you only want to be eating a small portion.

They're not worse than bates though, are they? I don't know what you're problem with them is but it's one hell of a grudge. bates has done far worse. LUST don't lie to get people to buy season tickets then have a go at them for not showing up to matches.

As things stand they lied and got people to stay away and thus damaged the club, a club that will hopefully be here long after Bates, you and me will be long since dead. Why would they have done that? I know what it looks like.

and it's the only reason bates is selling, because running the club with such a boycott isn't doable with the amount of money he's sucking out and wasting on pointless things.

According to Let Us Spout Trash he was taking £7 mill a year out and as the club is still trading at a profit he could in all honesty IMO afford to wait it out or kill the club over 4 or 5 years. The only thing is to prove my theory he would have to pull out of the deal and not one of us wants that. Apart from perhaps Simon, jerel and geo.

I agree with Marko. If LUST has been found to be lying about being in contact with GFH - and the relevant person should be able to provide proof on their conversation tomorrow in some sort of manner - they will be tarnished pretty badly.

It is one thing to be setting up as an organisation, having some values, doing all the right things, putting out information that they have confirmed, but it is another thing to be making it up.

Having said that, the LUST statement was pretty clear and contained a lot of substance. And if they did have information from within the GFH camp but their disclosure could well have led to a response from Bates that GFH has clearly breached the confidentiality agreement, then there are two aspects: 1) GFH are now trying to cover up their own mess, 2) LUST has placed GFH in a bad light with its pronouncement and that will only work out badly for LUST from both the current regime and the future one.

The one bit of substance that David Haigh could be bumbling is the timing of GFH's involvement. No doubt they have been involved at the beginning, but they may well have been in the position of brokers being paid by somone else to do the DD, whereas now they have stepped up. Smoke and mirrors methinks, but then again the whole lot has been s&m, so who knows what the real truth is.

LUST have some explaining to do. Luckily there is their AGM tomorrow, and maybe some forthright answers to straightforward questions will be asked. The content of those answers will be key to whether they are able to retain credibility or if they have just thrown it all away

I know we have clashed many times but nice post <ok>

I started to disbelieve LUST a while ago, it doesn't mean I wanted to be right, it doesn't mean I wanted them to fail.

Bottom line is this has probably ruined them, I personally don't see how they can have a credible future now, I certainly don't buy into Haigh was told to announce this by Bates.

'Now that's out the way. Remember.. We are Leeds UNITED.' David Haighs last tweet.

Sounds more like a statement made to appease Bates and the club than to have a go at Lust.
