Levy's getting smart in his old age. Filling Wembley could be difficult if we get an unfashionable draw. This way he gets bums on seats and probably a bunch of fans going that don't normally get the chance. They'll probably be more likely to pick up tickets at the new stadium as a result. The only issue that I can see is that some people will buy them, then not bother going to any **** games in the three. If we were to get Bayern, Atletico and Besiktas, for example, then the attendance might drop for the Turkish side. Lots of away fans could pick them up in that case, though. That could be equally problematic.
If I bought the block of three, and the above happened (especially if Spurs had qualified by then) , I would give up my ticket at 20 odd quid for a Spurs supporter who would go.
I am a pragmatist, and sometimes an altruist. None of these things are incompatible with my desire to see Spurs prosper.
I think that quite a lot of people would, though. You'll get people going to the big games and not bothering with others.
Looking at the current rankings, the pot 1/2 opponents will be quality whoever they are. The pot 4 opponent remains to be seen. Anyway the pricing is good so it will be the first test of the mythical WHL waiting list.
well I won't give up my tickets-definitely going to all three games. Anyone know where ''we're the park lane '' will be ? I Know S.O.S, you have your seat in gate 33-35, have you been allocated Wembley yet?
So the fears of only being allowed 50,000 seats at Wembley may have been misplaced: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/champions-league-ticket-announcement-130716/ I'd like to think it's The FA apologising to us for Mark Clattenberg. As for WHL, here's an updated view of the north east stand please log in to view this image
My reading of the announcement is that there is no seat allocation but season ticket holders will get first choice. re your Park Lane question it says "We can confirm that Wembley’s West side has been declared as our 'home' end. We would encourage any supporters wanting to contribute to the atmosphere in making Wembley our home away from home to look to buy their tickets in this area, starting in Blocks 132-136"
Bold and canny. It’s a rare example of the right thing being the better long term financial choice. With an ever shrinking percentage of revenues for bigger teams coming from gate receipts, it makes sense to lower prices to fill a big place. Many will see Spurs for the first time. Many of them will go on to go to other Spurs games, buy cable packages, kits and otherwise support Spurs. A worldwide audience will see a larger, younger, and louder crowd supporting Spurs than they would have otherwise, which may nudge them in the direction of becoming fans. Of course, other clubs, especially Bayern and Dortmund, I think, have done similar things already. But there’s no question it’s a wise move.
http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/prem...ing-£1m-bill/ar-BBumhvo?li=BBoPWjP&ocid=edgsp Why the **** are the club facing a '£1m' bill for this??? Appears to be a very round number clawed out of the ether for an event that would likely be down to a failure of the site security - which I would imagine would be an outsourced contract? More lazy sensationalist journalism......
Seeing these pictures makes me worried about the atmosphere and thus home advantage for this current season. Also makes me sadder than i would have thought.
As a bronze member, I wonder how difficult it will be to get tickets this year. Anyone know the capacity this season. And yes, it is sad to see it
