Absolutely, about as popular as a fart in a sauna. He’s really not that popular up there is he ?
I wonder if Tomarse will need a brief after all this?In Brief... Methven is briefing a CL member that he is back in the hunt, now that Spiegel's exclusivity is finished. He's even briefing him that he's not briefing anyone any more. Meanwhile Spiegel is not briefing anyone but is not briefing anyone that he's not briefing anyone.
What, you don’t think that Ryan Inniss guarantees stability and calmness ?None of the players are convincing me that they will stabilise the club and end the horrible uncertainty which we've had increasingly over the years.

Off the pitch he seems a top bloke; shame about the odd game he manages to fit in between suspensions. What, you don’t think that Ryan Inniss guarantees stability and calmness ?![]()
Due to not much less than assault.Off the pitch he seems a top bloke; shame about the odd game he manages to fit in between suspensions.
Especially if the Sandgaards and their horrible A2V are gone for good.Agreed. No way is our squad worth £11m, and there are literally no other assets. Only costs.
Still it would be great if we get some clarification on CAFC ownership today...
I'd like to like this more, but I remember back in the day when RD was looking to sell, and in the face of a lot of optimistic fans, Reams said 'be careful what you wish for'. He was right.Especially if the Sandgaards and their horrible A2V are gone for good.
Too many people think it is not important that The Valley is owned, I do, we need rid of Dushitelet to secure our long term future.Worth pointing out that Charlton fans did not get what they wished for - which was Duchatelet to sell the whole of Charlton Athletic and go away.
Him retaining all the assets and becoming Landlord of the Valley was nobody's wish.
At the time we only celebrated the arrival of ESI because that lying slug Matt Southall told us they had bought everything - "lock, stock and barrel".
When he hadn't even paid his 35p for CAFC.
For me Duchatelet is still the problem, and his son as well now.
Charlton Athletic will not recover until that family is out of the Club.
And we need the Valley bought back as soon as possible.
If RD junior continues to torture us after Roland passes away, I think we should begin to seriously consider AFC Charlton.
THing is though, the present position is only going to lead to administration, just a question of when. Zynex has plummetted in value, and Tommy's Plan A and Plan B have both conked ahrt, so anything different at least offers some hope for the future of the club, even if that hope turns out to be misguided. We'll only find out when the takeover goes through.I'd like to like this more, but I remember back in the day when RD was looking to sell, and in the face of a lot of optimistic fans, Reams said 'be careful what you wish for'. He was right.
We've had years of stagnation and poor management, but the incoming owners are a mystery, and we've all found out that words like 'Premier in five years' are meaningless when all that is behind them is hot air. I saw on CL today a few people saying the new takeover would be bad news for the academy. I have no idea if that is true, and I doubt if the people discussing it do either, but that is one of the few things that has given the fans any pleasure lately. Scrapping it would rub a lot of people up the wrong way, and suggest the incoming owners had the same view on Charlton history as Katrien Meire did ('I don't care about history') and they'll need to be very succssful in a short order to offset that sort of gaffe.
Or Takeover deal collapses.Maybe this thread should have the title New Owners tomorrow.
'Just like the pub with the Free Beer Tomorrow sign outside. So, absolutely nothing going on.
BB has predicted happy news today. But then he always does...
