Exactly my point. Every term has to get past the lawyers and if not it goes back and forth until it's right.

Big sales can be lock ins, where you don't leave the room for hours until it's done.

But... That stage is the last bit and it means we are close.

Apparently the camera crew from the bbc at the training ground are there to do a piece for Saturdays football focus at which seven new signings and a Chinese woman with a big check book and bigger shoulder pads will all be asked questions about "alleged ambitions to actually stay in this league I mean ffs wtf who do you think you are pipsqueek northern twats".
I am 52 tomorrow. I want an announcement to Make My Day.

Oh dear. You have to click on the above text. Thanks to Renegadetiger for seeing that. I am as familiar with the workings of this website as I am with the workings of a badger's pudenda. And it wasn't funny either. Hat, coat.

Took me a moment or two but I spotted it in the end lol

It doesn't. It just means the debts secured on the SMC's assets have been paid. Any unsecured debts, including over £9 million owed to Hull City Tigers Limited, are still outstanding.

The SMC and Hull City are being sold together, so any inter-company debt is irrelevant, these were the last of the external debts and they've now been cleared.

Sat in London since Monday signing contracts, determining terms and writing of all the debts.

Baring in mind the fit persons act with the FA hasn't been passed yet/

Might be a daft question but does the fit and proper persons test have to be passed by the FA before a sale can be announced?

Wasn't Tony Xia and his consortium's deal to buy Villa announced before he'd passed the test?

I can't see the FA taking too long mulling over this decision, with what they know of our current owners.

Ok, some light relief while we're waiting.

How will the Allams scupper this deal right at the death? I'll go with they'll demand a commission on any player sold in the next 5 years who was brought to the club with Allam money.

I'm sure you'll do better than me, and funnier...

They'll put in an application to change the name to Hull City AFC

They accept a £12mil offer for Hernandez and pocket the cash before signing off and the Buyers lose their **** over it.

That's not funny as I would not be in any way surprised if Ehab tried to put a clause like that in
