It's noticeable that everyone seems to be referring to the new owner as Acun, not Ilicali or Acun Ilicali. Wasn't Grant McCann usually referred to as McCann? Rarely Grant, sometimes Grant McCann or Terry. I don't remember Phil Brown being called Phil too much or Steve Bruce being called just Steve. Slutsky was just Slutsky I think. How does all this work?
Personally I'll be referring to owner and manager by their surnames simply because I've never met them and it feels right to me.

We are calling him as ‘Acun’ for more than 25 years :D
When a guy from TV is really friendly and sympathetic you accept him as one of your family member. he is like your every day guest at your home. (because Acun has tv prog. everyday :D)
Then, it becomes too formal to call him with his surname.
This is why everyone knows him as ‘Acun’ and you should be totally comfortable with that.
It was always: no walls between people and Acun..

What does that have to do with it? I'm repeating what the man himself said. If he thinks it's permanent and you think it's not, then that's quite awkward as no one has told him.

I can't remember if we've been playing Elvis after a win, but that struck me as unusual too.

I'm not naive enough to think that's all Acun's doing, but perhaps the commercial/stadium team either feel a new lease of life or have been let off a leash? Interesting all the same.

As others have been saying, the atmosphere in the ground today and the mood around the club is brilliant. It's not even limited to actual City fans. Tonight in the pubs and restaurant we went in people seeing our scarves kept saying good result today and talking to us about the new owner and how good it is for the City. A few weeks ago hardly anyone acknowledged City. They obviously didn't know the ins and out of the issues with the Allams but they knew nothing exciting was happening and that's completely changed now.

I think Joe Clutterbrook is responsible for the improvements. The stadium certainly has more life and more going on these days. I liked the Housemartins 'Caravan of Love' at the end, loud and proud, the anthem of Hull and I would have played that before Andy Williams 'Wise Men Say'. Small points to make on such a great day out.

East stand speakers sorted too, well at least in E3 they are. All positive stuff going on at the moment.

I don’t think this is limited to just Acun coming in. I get asked wherever I go after games by people in pubs, takeaways and even when I stop for fuel on the way home. Always have.
I do accept that there is an air of excitement all around the support and if this extends to the community that is great. The whole takeover is great and everyone should bask in the warmth surrounding the club. Now is a fantastic time to support our club.
By the way PLT, people might be talking to you because you have a smile on your face after a game for a change.

Baz has confirmed the staff positions...

"Former Netherlands Under-20 manager and ex-Ajax coach Peter van der Veen will join at Arveladze’s request" to be his assistant manager.

"Tony Pennock and goalkeeping coach Barry Richardson" will remain at the club for the foreseeable future.

"Tan Kesler will operate in the vice-chairman role and ex-Sunderland and Notts County chief Jim Rodwell has been given the role of chief executive"

"Lee Darnbrough remains head of recruitment."

I think this is what I wanted most from the takeover.

The buzz around the city about the club between about 2004-2014 was great and it all started to be dialled back slowly from there.

It’d be nice for that to pick up again.
