Sky Sports News currently reporting that Walter is close
I imagine many of those defending Rosenior when the football was ****, will be the first to 'overreact' and pile on the new guy when we lose our first game. Or Acun, seeing as he's been taking somewhat of a pasting recently. Those that do won't even see the irony.
No, the first to moan will be 100% the Rosenior arsehole rimmers. The ones that moaned loudest about Rosie, will 100% be the first to moan about Walter if things don't go well, twas always thus.
I think there will be a few told you so’s before that as people cannot resist in this sport doing so.The ones that moaned loudest about Rosie, will 100% be the first to moan about Walter if things don't go well, twas always thus.

I would bet good money those that complained about Rosenior’s style of play are going to get whiplash when they see Walter’s.
Those who like Rosenior and his play style will probably be more willing to take it on as it’s basically the same at its core

When our juniors go 0-1 down at Winterton in mid July.how long until the anti walter posts?
october? whenever we lose 2 games?
thoughts on a postcard
and if we win the first 5 games of the season
therell be a few told you so's too!
i hope we win the first 5 games of the season
and its a sunny august
feels ages since we played
I really don’t think this will be the case.
The majority of pro-Rosenior were happy because they were pointing to the progress we’d made in his time at the club. Clearly they weren’t as vexed about ‘exciting football’ as the people who were anti-Rosenior. (Although I really dont remember being bored that often).
If Walter doesn’t look like he’s taking that progress further, regardless of how exciting the games are - I think that’ll be fair criticism. If it looks like we are pushing on towards the top six, I assume most will be happy enough - as that’s what they were happy about before.
If we are challenging for top 6 or higher - I’ll be happy. If not I’ll be frustrated by a change that hasnt had us continuing the journey up the league.
Regardless, everyone needs to give it a few months before deciding on anything, which wouldn’t be different for me with a new manager or if Rosenior had stayed as regardless we’ll be integrating loads of new players.
Just ****ing wow!!!!We didn't have to go full-on high-risk though. My gripe is that in his first full season the wage bill rose massively (87% I believe), but actually, the quality on the pitch didn't. We were a little better, but a lot of the signings were either unfit, injured or useless and we wasted a lot of money and we had the KLP income too.
We're 2 years on and we've still not replaced the bite from Smallwood and Honeyman or the leadership from those two and Magennis.
