cba to go trawling through this thread. so can someone give me a brief outline of what acun was banging on about.. cheers
It was the goal Allsop conceded against Watford when he was lobbed from the half way line that kicked this off. Acun simply asked Rosenior why he isnt giving Pandur a chance. Also the effect on the players confidence was an issue with Acun, who had persueded these players to come in the first place then had to answer questions why they were sat in the stands on a matchday.
Seems the rumours that some players went behind Roseniors back and complained to Tan were true?
Maybe Rosenior replied with "Because it's December and we don't sign him till next month"
At least players who do come in now will be under no illusion of what's expected of themBecause if you had a 50/50 decision between coming to City or another club where an owner didn't publicly criticise your performance, which club would you choose?

Was meaning more along the lines of fitness and weight gainYou think Allsop thought he was expected to let in soft goals? He probably expected to be going to a club that wouldn't hang him out to dry if he did make mistakes.

You often put across the assumption that your views are shared by everyone. Have you ever thought about why you do that?Maybe you know what the **** you are on about. Nobody else does. Thought you were off to bed ages ago?
My take.
Acun did the rounds with the media after the sacking, gave respectful reasons for the sacking (did not share the same vision etc).
in reality, the sacking wasnt headline news. Hull City were far down the pecking order in the headlines on that day and only a small minority of “pundits” chose to comment on it.
But Acun admitted he does read fans forums and those on facebook and twitter were massively critical of the decision for the first couple of days. I suspect the criticism that he took most to heart was accusation that the one dream was bullshit.
Acun flew in especially to address these issues with the fans. There was no invite to the media. Had we been introducing a new Manager the media would have been there.
This was him explaining to the fans the reason Liam had to go in more honest terms than could be done where media were present.
The decision to extend the invite to fans online seemed a fairly late one but from a risk mitigation point of view, there was very little chance of journalists not directly connected with Hull City joining the stream.
It wouldnt surprise me if most of the current players didnt tune in either.
The reaction on here seems to be less about disagreeing what he said (the reasons for sacking Liam) amd more about how the rest of the footballing world including future players might react.
I would be very surprised if the recording ends up on youtube therefore most future players will be none the wiser.

Me explaining which players we should sign for Acun’s burner account (hi Acun).
Not the Netflix thread, but this is one of my favourite films.
It's what I've been saying from the start. Hire a Director of Football who knows what they're doing, and task them with running the club in the capacity Acun is now. If Acun gets displeased with the Director of Football, hire and fire that person, but Acun shouldn't be directly picking players to sign, firing the manager for boring him, etc. That should be entrusted to the Director of Football. It gives one layer of separation to allow for emotion to be stripped out of decisions. Acun can still give the DoF a brief though, which means he still has an impact and say on the direction of the team.
