I made another post today asking a similar thing regarding the McVitie’s deal. Guess we’ll find out. It would have to be fair market valuation due to the rules but it could be significant.
Maybe, not sure. The front of shirt sponsor with Corendon might expire this summer but don’t quote me on that. If it is, I would expect McVitie’s to be the front of shirt sponsor next season.
Fair valuation, yeah. Not sure how you define that though - could they sponsor us to the value of say a relegated club's major sponsor?
Certainly wouldn't be my choice, just noticed his odds had shortened on sky bet where nobody else has moved.
Baz reckoned they’d spoke to cooper but he wasn’t interested, he’s holding out for a pl job. Baz also mentioned (not cooper directly) that managers on gardening leave from pl clubs won’t drop down to the championship whilst they are still getting pl wages. He’s turned down Norwich which ties up with what Baz suggested. Baz didn’t think cooper would work within our structure
The delay in getting it over the line might be because he is getting his coaching team together and contracts for them, so we are not talking about one person here probable 3, I assume he needs a work permit, then his family matters to sort out. I guess these things are not as straight forward as we would like to believe.
Yep. And all of this should have been (and hopefully was) factored into the decision to change manager. It was never going to be smooth sailing compared to just continuing with the process we were on. It's a gamble.
Pretty sure when forest got promoted Cooper had no say in all the incomings They signef a **** tonne of players
I couldn't think of anything worse than someone hiring for my team and saying to me "make this work". It sounds like a crap set up, IMO.
Cooper ? Well I'd say he was an upgrade but it looks certain that he wants a PL job no matter what he's paid or what the structure is
