Not so much 'jobs for the boys'. But could well be another example of naivety. Of course hope I'm wrong and bringing him in proves to be an inspired move.

Why is it naive? What role has he taken?

They've lost 2 members of the coaching staff so Daws and Baz need numbers on the coaching staff. Stockdale and this Turkish fella as interim coaches?

Don't really see a scandal - suspect Pardo might find himself in a similar role to Darno in the longer-term, whether alongside him or as a replacement.

My biggest concern is people making assumptions and rumours like this taking a life of their own amongst the fans without any real evidence. Now that could be the sort of thing which may make any owner rethink his commitment.

Acun’s made mistakes. It would be silly and naive of City fans to think everything he does is perfect. I like him, I support him and I think his heart is in the right place but a few of his and Kesler’s decisions have been questionable and they’ve resulted in us being in the situation we’re currently in.

Shota = Acun’s mate
Tufan = Acun’s mate
Pelkas = Acun’s mate
Beri Pardo = Acun’s mate

We’ve spent a decent amount of money on transfer fees and wages this summer on 16 new players and we don’t look any better than last year. In fact, we look worse in some aspects.

As was always going to be the case with that amount of churn. They're a group of individuals at the moment. Some of them are actually very decent footballers, but they have only played like a team for spells in games, and haven't found the collective resilience yet to cope with setbacks on a consistent basis.

I thought we were on top first half. As soon as that second goes in then any cohesion they had disappeared.

I'm not suggesting a scandal. If you read my other posts you can see that, like you, I'm playing down the silly scandal comments.
Of course Daws needs support. Naive to think the support he needs at this time is from a 32 yo Turk!! I do see that there's probably a longer term role in mind for him. If Acun isn't careful, that longer term role could be in L1

I think the first half shows that we are a good side... it's all gone downhill since Tetteh was injured its with hope that returning players and a new manager create a belief thats sadly gone AWOL.

I don't think they are mates to be honest, it is more like market thing. And that's where the problem lies, Turkish football is not having best days, relying on a market that is going downhill not a good idea.

He should focus western european market and check Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands, such proven places in producing players when it comes to adaptation of UK.

Of course he has. Shota clearly didn't work out and were crying out for an organising, ballwinning CDM which was a massive oversight in recruitment this summer.

Scandinavian, Irish, Spanish, potentially South American markets as well - Poch and Bielsa did OK.

That’s a long way from picking almost all 16 signings. Are they ‘mates’ or just players he knows through his wide, network so used this to his advantage? If things were going smoothly, it would be the latter.

Indeed it is latter, still not a good idea though. Turkish market and football culture is so different than UK, adaptation period is way longer.

Just listened to Acun's interview for the 2nd time, couldnt really hear what he was saying on my way to the game. Second listen though a few things stand out regarding Pedro. He applied for the job, Acun said he "volunteered" for the job. Acun said he thinks the Wolves situation confused him. He thinks we did nothing wrong and Pedro pretty much confirmed this in his statement. I think Acun tried his absolute best to get it over the line and Pedro was the one who backed out. Maybe they've not said that in either statements, as it looks "nicer" to say they couldnt agree rather than he turned us down.

To be completely honest, I am surprised we could even attract someone like Pedro in the first place, it was close, we tried, but I also understand why he turned us down.

My only worry is that I would expect us to be a lot further down the line in the process for appointing a new manager.

That lad Bielek was it today , on loan from Derby!!!.. just the type of player we need and the Berger mould...

When football used to be spoken about in words as opposed to XG's then it was usually about 'winning the midfield'.

If we can get a balance in that midfield then the forward line will have a platform to play from, and the defence won't get as hung out to dry as they are being.

It's all about the balance in midfield for me - and then a couple of games we score as opposed to concede the first. As evidenced by that second half there's no collective confidence - but then is that really a surprise in what is still a very new group of players?

We've seen before at City many times that a group of players devoid of confidence can look a completely different side when the same are believing and on the front foot.

If the fans are losing confidence to question absolutely everything to do with the club, wet the bed and fall apart 14 games into a revolution, then don't you think the players will do that too?
