They sold off part of the site in 1995, it's what funded the building of all the facilities that are on the site now, they've not sold anything since that I'm aware of.

It genuinely looks like Martins is coming. I am absolutely speechless about it. A genuine top drawer manager with a consistent proven track record at high levels.

What I know is:
- The ownership are aware that our training ground is crap and want a new one.
- The aim is to time this with promotion to the Premier League to help fund it - more money plus something about a grant I’d need to read up on.
- The aim is to have the training ground near the stadium so it feels more inclusive, but sites have been looked at around the outskirts of the city.
- We have a category 2 academy, but it’s a generous one when you look at other category 2s at our level. Barnsley, Colchester and even Crewe have better youth set ups than we do as it stands, that’s hopefully going to see some improvements.
- 10 of the 27 category 1 academies play in the EFL, so we know it’s something we can achieve with a bit of a push and a new look training/academy centre.
