Because FFP isn't that hard to understand? Because it's been widely reported in regards to other clubs and managerial appointments numerous times? Because Baz regularly gets things wrong so taking his word as gospel would be silly? Because it's far more likely as Toast says that we have more FFP headroom than people think?

Well FFP works slightly differently in different leagues. It works differently in L1/L2 to how it works in the championship. They've got soft caps on player wages, we don't

There's a great thread on here if you want to actually discuss FFP and aren't just looking to pick a fight as you tend to, but if not there's a pretty detailed breakdown of the FFP rules for your bedtime reading. You can look under the exemptions section and figure out which of women's football, youth football, or community development expenditure a 'First team manager's salary' would fit under.

Managers are covered by FFP, but for some reason it only seems to mention their wages that count, it doesn’t say anything about fees to acquire staff. I assume it is included, as only youth and training facility upgrades are not.

I think in all fairness just about every player we had on the pitch that day was man-for-man better than theirs. On the whole, they kept us at bay, apart from a wonder strike by Diame. He will do me as a new coach, definitely an upgrade on Shota experience-wise.

The squad we had that year should’ve pissed the league and gone up via automatics. Absolutely zero shame for Carvalhal losing to that City squad in the play-off final.

I’m not. Carvalhal overachieved with them, which is why there’s no shame in losing to us in the play-off final.

He could turn out to be the good manager this club needs club and manager may suit each other if it does turn out to be him.
 
20 clubs managed in 24 years!!
Bit of a concern to an owner?
He might be a decent choice as a coach, but surely we need someone for the medium to long term, to build something ('the project').
