I wouldn't but I reckon we'll go more high profile.

I don't think a manager counts toward FFP either, does it? If that's the case I think we could end up with someone on huge money.

Of course it counts, FFP is based on your P&L. It isn't just your player wage bill. The only deductions are for infrastructure and youth team.

Maybe if we go by what Acun said, he's not bothered about results, he wants attacking, entertaining football.. anyone out of these known for that?

Great research, but the percentage doesn’t take into account games played at bottom of Premier vs top of Championship.
Corcoran for me. Or Farke or Wagner or Beilsa. I don’t bloody know!

Exactly this. For example there's little to choose in the average win statistics between Silva and McCann but factor in that all Silva's games where during a Premier League relegation scrap and McCann's include a full season in the third tier with a team that were (arguably) better than that level.

Ironically, at the point both managers left the club we'd have been better off keeping them - if Silva had agreed to stay and McCann at that point should have been left in place whilst more thoughtful football decisions where made.

Our owners naivity is the main issue we have at the moment.

What a massive appointment this as to be, at the moment we are in free fall and the new man will have to steady the ship with the players he as available. He needs to do that and pick up a enough points to get us to the World Cup break. Hopefully we will then get a few extra bodies back to give him a few more options to get us to the January transfer window. Thers a few out there but who I haven’t got a clue, will he go proven championship or chance another from abroad who asnt managed in this league.

But one with that as the only major blotch on his CV.

stepped in as Newcastle caretaker and left with the respect of most geordies who by then saw Ashley as the problem, but he stabilised them - he had their support during a period of decline, much like Adkins for us.

Got another PL job and kept Naarch in the PL for a change.

Laid the groundwork for Potter at Brighton by stabilising them in the PL.

Could do a lot worse.

Bruce and Brownie had blemishes on their CV's also, as have any manager who's been around long enough to ever be anyone.
Agree, very underrated manager. He was in charge at Newcastle when they walked the Championship then got sacked because he wasn't 'high profile' enough.

I don't think there's a manager on earth who can do much with us until that glaring hole in midfield is filled.
Its looking like we need 3 players down the spine of our team. A centre back, defensive midfield and a striker. Also some of the players signed in the summer will need to move on if they want games.
Howden is bang on when he says this will take a few windows. This season has already become about staying up

Morning Valley, it isn't Carlos Corberan.

Baz seemingly ruling out Corberan

Carlos Carvalhal according to that Lue. I know he did a decent job at Wednesday but can’t remember much of him past that. Seems to go through a lot of clubs
