A few years ago? Try 30 when they were all managing.
I'm sure Major Buckley didn't have his pro license either but it isn't the 20th century anymore.
The point still applies.

It also applies that if A and Pro licences were completely arbitrary then they wouldn't now be the management standard as no-one would bother doing them.
Pro licence course costs 10 grand
True. But getting one doesn’t automatically mean you will be an good as a manager.
"Should have the fans on his side"Already knows some of the staff and there'll be no surprises as to the training facilities - he'll know exactly what he has to work with.
Should have the fans on side longer from the start and ones with a preexisting relationship with clubs tend to be given more time.
Should also help him keep fans on side as he'll know what we expect from the players - should know how to communicate with the media and have pre existing relationships there also.
Not saying it makes a huge difference but even 5% is an advantage.
Just think of the amount of Tennent Super you could buy for that Brady heaven on earth aye?
"Should have the fans on his side"
Well there will, it seems, be a few on here looking sceptically on. And I put myself in that category, just as I was one who was initially also looking sceptically at Dawsons appointment. In Dawsons case not a lot of data to go on but with his team there has been a significant change in the approach, which Seri alluded to in todays Mail. This has led to an improvement on the pitch. Acun and Tan have taken a big leap of faith to move from something that had the green roots of a promising spring to deciding whle there is still some spring left to plough it under and re-seed. They have more guts than I have-I would have taken the easy decsion and stayed with Dawson-lets hope they have made the right decision.

Where does it say he wasYou can always find a reason to say not comparable - but there is a reason Rosie was down to the last 2 for the WBA job.
Most of the wish list of qualities some city fans seem to want wouldn't have applied to Potter at a Brighton. That didn't go too badly.
My systolic is Probably lower than your diastolic[/QUOTE
I reckon that took some effort to post in between sips from the Amber nectar.
I miss your 4am posts any likelihood we will see them again soon?
Where does it say he was
You tell me you quoted itWas in the WBA press wasn't it?
If you needed to worry about a new manager coming in.... read these comments from Seri today...
Under Arveladze, some players, it's understood, were struggling to hit 4k, now, those figures are upwards of 12k in stark contrast to performance levels previously.
"He took the team in a difficult moment, and what he is doing is brilliant, I have to say that." Seri explained. "The way he wants us to play, to press, makes sense.
"In football, if you do something that doesn't make sense, you cannot go anywhere. Everything we do we have to know what we are doing, and the sense is there and that's what he's trying to do.
"Under him, we're running more. Before, the four defenders were running more than the midfielders and strikers and this makes no sense, now we can see the difference.
"The midfield is running more and this is helping, he keeps telling us we have to run more, we have to stay in shape and protect and defend our goal and keeper, and we scored seven goals in two games, this is not nothing."
But but he’s got all his coaching badgesNot surprising. Under Shota, we looked like we didn’t have an identity or vision. Under Dawson at least, we look like a team that knows what the manager expects of them, even if we lose or play poorly. I’m gonna put it down to a language barrier as Shota isn’t the worst coach we’ve ever had but it was obvious he and the players weren’t on the same wavelength.

Sounds like your usual bullshit to me
