are we not above you in the league lolLooks like you have him for another season lol
Why would we? The evidence suggests we're actually some of the most patient fans going given our current relative means (large) and current relative success (small). The biggest problem for a manager coming into Arsenal is that if they don't win trophies in the first season the fans and media could well get on their back.
The biggest surprise to me (as with united) is the lack of serious succession planning.
Secondly, your squad needs an over haul and that will or rather could add to the time issue gor winning trophies.
Spoken by a supporter who's club hasn't failed to do so for the past 20 years, you may feel different after 2 or 3 years out of itWhy would we? The evidence suggests we're actually some of the most patient fans going given our current relative means (large) and current relative success (small).
I don't care if we go out of the CL. I don't care if we lose Ozil and Sanchez. I want our club back to being one that has a bit of ambition and purpose that we can be proud of. There are very few players in our team right now that we can be proud of. There are very few players who even pretend to care about arsenal. AFC spend an awful lot to achieve next to nothing with a whole load of players who aren't good enough. I want to be proud of our club, not embarrassed. Being happy to stagnate with no risk is embarrassing. That Wenger presides over it all makes him an embarrassment.
There will always be fans like PISKIE who think Wenger is somehow holding us together and that replacing what he does won't be easy. Whatever. Getting CL qualification is NOT an achievement.

Do you think replacing what Wenger does will be easy ?

I didn't say you did... But there seem to be arsenal fans who do. The ones who are scared of dropping out of it, as if being in it means anything.I do not think getting CL qualification is an achievement.
What I spoke about was a new manager not winning trophies and this causing the media and fans to turn on him.
The idea of Arsenal fans beinv ghe most patient does not ring true to me.
A massive section of your fans left the emerates on the first game of the season after 65 mins when you were losing 4-1 to liverpool and the majority of those that stayed booed after the final whistle!
That was the first game of the season.
A similar thing happened the year before when you lost to West Ham in you 1 st or 2nd game of the season.
Your ground regularly empties after 80 mjnutes if you are not winning.
This has been going on for years.
Imo if arsenal went a season without a trophy with a new manager there would be unrest.

And that Liverpool game was not just the first game of the season is it though... It also represented the umpteenth season of seeing the same old deficiencies after an entire summer break to once again try and get it right... But failing to do so.
On the contrary, I doubt a new manager failing to win a trophy would cause unrest. As long as they saw a manager trying to so at least something to improve.
Arsene wants 4 more years at Arsenal

A new manager is definitely needed short term, but in the long term the whole structure needs to change. A director of football and better scouts. Wenger seems to be doing everything. We'll need the right people to take over those other responsibilities and leave the manager to handle the football side. I like that Jardim guy. But if I had a choice now, I'd go for Simeone as a think the mentality of the team needs to change. We need to become hard to beat first we have enough talent going forward to win games. It is the defencive side of our game that kills us a lot.
I do wonder if Arsenal are going to keep their flowing football identity in the same way Barca and Ajax have. Only appoint managers who share that philosophy now.
You have to consider how much Arsenal has grown as a Club over the last 20 years. In Europe and Asia we are now associated with attacking football. If Wenger is includes in appointing a new Manager, otherwise I doubt the management gives two sh1ts of we do. Their primary goal is to maintain CL qualification.
