Not sure but I'm not the one trying to justify someone's selection as our Manager.
I wasn't trying to justify just giving the info and Blackpool was 38% which ain't bad.
I posted link for all his stats. Leic the other stat under 30%
At end of day he is here, we know he will be passionate and will be giving those not playing with same passion grief!

Let's get behind him.

I like the fella, Ollie's a no-nonsense good bloke.
But being honest this is clearly a stop gap choice, done in a bit of haste, management surely felt like they needed someone quickly, and did not want to take the risk of further slide with a caretaker manager, while they did a bit more research into looking into the bigger global list of managers who may have liked to have a crack at a project like us.

I wish us all the best, I like what Ollie says, I'll be behind him all the way. He has learned much in the last decade away from us, and this might be a great culmination of all that.

U Rsssssss

Please give the bloke a chance...
..Did we all see the promised land when Warnock came here the first time...no
We wanted someone with Premiership experience, Arry was probably the biggest disaster ever
Didn't we l cry out for a hungry young up and coming manager, and JFH gave us stale and turgid football.
We now cried out for someone who cared...we got what we asked for.

He is now manager of my team, I am going to support my team and him...and perhaps we might have some fun.
We? We? We? We? We?

At Millwall, it was 22.5% according to a tweet by Toby Young, the QPR supporting political commentator
Toby Young supports us? Oh dear.

Good luck Ollie.

You give someone a 2.5 year contract if you want them to at least start to try and build something. In retrospect JFHs rolling contract was a joke.

Bloody hell Ollie looked a right down and out in that interview. If I had seen him on the street I would have give a quid for a cup of tea.
A good few soundbites to appease the cavemen but when he says "I will try" I thought, same old Holloway.
I will support him but this will not work out. Let's just hope there are three worse teams.

Whether you love him or think it is the wrong decision...or think it is a stop-gap appointment, surely everyone can agree it feels good to have a manager who seems to care. This evening I spontaneously broke into 'Ian Holloway's Blue and white army!!!' as I walked home...I haven't done that with a QPR manager for a while. Welcome back Ollie.

Sorry about the formatting. It's a quick c&p from Wikipedia.

Downhill trend since his Blackpool days then the last 4 years.

Always loved Ollie's passion & desperately hope things work out, but imo this is another example of TF/SLF failing to get the best available man so if this appointment fails to be a success don't see there's anyway either could remain part of the club (ownership or not).

Personally glad he's back, of all the other names linked I just feel that Ollie was a better fit. He's been there seen it done it.
Yes his football style with us was long ball, but he learned how to use tactics at Blackpool and Palace, which has added to his managerial experience and changed his style of play.
It may work or not but let's just get on board and enjoy the ride. Can't be worse than what we've seen in the last two years.....can it ?
The big plus is he knows the Division and as someone mentioned having watched all the teams this season as a pundit he has some knowledge to go by ...I hope
I totally get what ELLERS has been saying, but I d still go for someone who knows the club and what it means to the fans..
Good luck Ollie

Starting from when?

I can see both sides of the argument here. We have to hope that circumstances collide to positive effect. We aren't employing him due to his magnificent record in management (I assume), or because he's up and coming, I assume he's been chosen, from somewhere other than the top of the list, to inject a bit of passion into the team and the stands, perhaps.

LR will be bouncing to "Olloways blue and white army..." again.

If Bircham turns up with blue hair, we can be sure everything will be fine.

Ultimately I'm delighted that we've got QPR people at the club, I think there's a lot of merit in that.

Good luck lads.

Just woke up and saw Hollaway named as manager.

Ollie wasn't my first choice but l'm glad we have a manager who loves the club and will show passion.

That passion will shine thru with the players.

Great stuff, welcome home Ollie.
Let's get this show on the road.

I've seen him coming out of the Ellerslie entrance at the end of a match a couple of times. I like his media stuff, personally.

Don't know much about him, the couple of times I have seen him on telly he came across a bit of an egoist, but I probably wasn't paying much attention.

But if your job is to motivate people, you need to have a fair degree of self-confidence, if you don't believe in yourself, how others going to believe in your coaching ideas.
That can then come across as having a big ego. Some Managers are more eloquent, some wear their hearts on their sleeve.

My Scottish, Liverpool supporting husbands view on Ollie being appointed! could have been worse, could have been that knob Sherwood!

Oh and he did not like the Scotland kit tonight either!
