I like the fella, Ollie's a no-nonsense good bloke.
But being honest this is clearly a stop gap choice, done in a bit of haste, management surely felt like they needed someone quickly, and did not want to take the risk of further slide with a caretaker manager, while they did a bit more research into looking into the bigger global list of managers who may have liked to have a crack at a project like us.
I wish us all the best, I like what Ollie says, I'll be behind him all the way. He has learned much in the last decade away from us, and this might be a great culmination of all that.

You give someone a 2.5 year contract if you want them to at least start to try and build something. In retrospect JFHs rolling contract was a joke.

Whether you love him or think it is the wrong decision...or think it is a stop-gap appointment, surely everyone can agree it feels good to have a manager who seems to care. This evening I spontaneously broke into 'Ian Holloway's Blue and white army!!!' as I walked home...I haven't done that with a QPR manager for a while. Welcome back Ollie.

Always loved Ollie's passion & desperately hope things work out, but imo this is another example of TF/SLF failing to get the best available man so if this appointment fails to be a success don't see there's anyway either could remain part of the club (ownership or not).
Personally glad he's back, of all the other names linked I just feel that Ollie was a better fit. He's been there seen it done it.
Yes his football style with us was long ball, but he learned how to use tactics at Blackpool and Palace, which has added to his managerial experience and changed his style of play.
It may work or not but let's just get on board and enjoy the ride. Can't be worse than what we've seen in the last two years.....can it ?
The big plus is he knows the Division and as someone mentioned having watched all the teams this season as a pundit he has some knowledge to go by ...I hope

Just woke up and saw Hollaway named as manager.
Ollie wasn't my first choice but l'm glad we have a manager who loves the club and will show passion.

I've seen him coming out of the Ellerslie entrance at the end of a match a couple of times. I like his media stuff, personally.
Don't know much about him, the couple of times I have seen him on telly he came across a bit of an egoist, but I probably wasn't paying much attention.
But if your job is to motivate people, you need to have a fair degree of self-confidence, if you don't believe in yourself, how others going to believe in your coaching ideas.
That can then come across as having a big ego. Some Managers are more eloquent, some wear their hearts on their sleeve.
