Well, 40 years after the first experience, and in very different way, the Damned were as brilliant tonight as the last time I saw them. Who's to say Ollie won't be the same. Neat, neat, neat.

People think it because of what you say, the number of times you say it and your inability to remember the negative things you say. I've heard fans of other clubs refer to him as Hollowhead - only you do on this forum. You seem only to remember Vauxhall Motors and the fact he was interested in the Leicester job. It's not good enough when you are found out simply to repeat the mantra that you have always given the manager your whole hearted support and then say you will jump on him as soon as they lose. You've not been very vocal in your support of all our managers from Holloway through to JFH save possibly for Warnock. In fact quite the opposite. Your reaction to each new appointment is so predictable and we know from the start that you do not approve. We know because you tell us. You do remember that I take it?

I tell you what. When you start calling for Holloway out, you will no doubt not object to some of us calling for you out of this forum? Fair enough? It's not personal. It's just our right to freedom of opinion. You won't have committed any cardinal sins so it's not binding at all. As you know, you are free to do as you wish.

A win against Norwich will be a big ask as they are a very good side IMO

    But it's all possible

Should be like a cup tie and would of made that one but no can do as back in France ... already excited the place should be rocking

Gave my thoughts to LH direct but not heard back yet re AT and AF back on loan ,,, Can you imagine if that wild dream happened?

So are you saying that you and others will be calling for Ellers to leave the forum for having an opinion that you don't agree with ?

Tell you what, either put him on ignore or just don't reply to his posts. A forum is here for many different opinions and different points of view, some you'll relate to, some you'll think are complete ****e...but I'll stick up for anyone on here to have an opinion, as long as it doesn't break the boards rules.

I thought it had been announced already, nines. Obviously I was wrong.
We can't be talking of the lack of passion in our management team now then I guess

While we're on the subject of new managers, good luck to former R Marcus Bignot at Grimsby

They drew 2-2 with Barnet yesterday, letting a 2 goal lead slip and missing an injury time penalty.

Nearly cried.....over this (OK I'm a girl...I am allowed to be completely soppy)

    http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/11/1...details-of-very-emotional-phone-call-with-qp/
New Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway has told Sky Sports that he had a 'very emotional' phone call with owner Tony Fernandes before taking the job.

QPR chose to sack manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink last weekend after a run of just two wins in ten Championship games, with the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest proving to be the final straw.

The R's were again left looking for a new manager, and whilst names like Tim Sherwood, Paul Clement and Karl Robinson were linked, the club went for one of their former managers in Ian Holloway.

    Ian Holloway

Holloway, 53, has had a long history with QPR, from making more than 150 appearances for the club during his playing days, to spending almost five years as their manager between 2001 and 2006.

Holloway's most recent managerial job was with Millwall, but since leaving The New Den in March 2015, he has been working for Sky Sports as a Football League pundit whilst he waited for his next opportunity in management.

Holloway is back in management now, and will be hoping to turn QPR around after the international break, as they currently lie down in 17th place in the Championship table after a poor run of form under Hasselbaink.

On Saturday, Holloway effectively signed off from his Sky Sports responsibilities, writing a column about landing the QPR job, stating that he told Sky Sports some time ago that he would leave if QPR ever wanted him back.

Holloway added that his phone call with QPR chairman Tony Fernandes was 'very emotional', as he spoke from the heart about his love for QPR, with Holloway feeling that he's on the same wavelength as Fernandes.

So another new manager. Although Ollie has a 2 1/2 year contract will he actually see it out? And having seen previous managers get rid of and then bring in new players, I can only see mid table now for us this year. I just hope, that Ollie is given the full length of his contract - this club needs stability and the players need to have faith in the people above Ollie, that they really do know exactly what they are doing.

On a plus side - Ollie can be a wheeler dealer - and 2 he loves the club. Let's hope that in 12 months time we are nearer the top and fighting for promotion - just can't see it ths year

SB - i'm off to see the Damned on Tuesday 15th at Guildford........great venue....great band

For anyone who hasn't listened to the QPR Podcast featuring Marc Bircham following the Fulham game, it's worth a listen because it gives an insight as to what he thinks of our squad and his view on how we would play if he was in charge. Oh yeah, it's bloody funny too.

Enjoy sir, they were excellent last night. It's a long gig, they play loads of stuff, in reverse chronological order, finishing up with most of Damned, Damned, Damned.

I can highly recommend the Assembly Rooms in Leamington, proper old style space for about 1,000. Though they ran out of Guinness last night (I was thirsty). John Lydon and PiL there this week, sadly I am working away, would love to see them.

Is it me or are his legs different colour to rest of him?
Is he wearing shorts with black tights or something!! Weird!
This is probably to make up for not having the blue and white hair any more!

I know nothing about Clement other than he has coached at a lot of clubs with aspirations to be world number 1, his dad played for Rangers in the 70s, he has never managed in the EFL until Derby (never managed at all before then) and clearly must have fallen out with the owner. I also know that he was asked twice and did not want to come. You could be right in that he is behaving honourably. Perhaps I am more cynical.

But the bottom line is that none of us actually know any more than the facts stated above so I am yet to be persuaded that he is the Messiah who will lead us to the promised land. I would hope he is just as others do. That's the reason why he would have been my preferred choice during the recent poll). I would have been happy had he wanted it badly enough. But he doesn't. If he won't come there isn't enough of a cv there for me to justify chucking money his way in order to make it irresistible for him.

Perhaps I'm being cynical but the idea of anyone in football (apart from possibly Ian Holloway) who would walk away from Bayern or Real to manage the club he supports for less money than he currently receives strikes me as fanciful.
