Whether or not he succeeds it will be interesting, and certainly entertaining
Hopefully Ollie has a few classics up his sleeve for press conferences

What Ollie has done for me after watching the interview is have me punching the air and shouting come on u Rsssss!!!!!!

None of us actually believe Ollie is the new Alex Ferguson, but you can't deny his heart is in the right place. and he is a Rangers' man.

Thats my point mate, he recognised it and did the right thing. Takes an honourable man to do that.
I'd be more than happy if the same thing happened with us, get us up and then hand the job over to someone who'll keep us there.
I blame Brexit.Why was Holloway brought in before? Because we had no money to spend and he was a cheap option.
Why did Clement/Rowlett or someone decent not get the job? Let's say they didn't want it. I ask why not?
Holloway has been brought in to appease the fans because times are going to become hard (don't blame Brexit).

I must admit, while I'm still not totally convinced it's the right choice, after reading Ollies Sky interview, I'm feeling a whole lot more excited about going to see a Rangers match than I have been for ages.
Can't wait for the 19th and I'm hoping, praying and crossing everything that the lads show the passion and commitment that it's quite obvious he has for our little club.

This. Why don't we all just wait and see what happens? Let the man do his job to the best of his abilities within the scope that the club provides.
All managers fail in the end - some much faster than others! Let's hope for the best and not spend too much time fearing the worst, because we can't affect it anyway...

Met many managers in my time. Never someone like Ian Holloway. A manager who wants to come for all the right reasons. Passion , love for the club love for the fans . He breathes QPR. Been criticised for many things and rightly so but here's hoping. Money can't buy passion and love. Ian holloway represents something that I though was dying in football. He has brought back faith to me that football is still about passion first and not just money. Many will say Ian will not take us forward due to old school methods. Wrong. He's as astute as anyone I have met. Has played great great football knows so much about tactics ,analysis formations. Big personality. Big heart. Welcome home Ollie. TF

Since 1968 (aged 10). Trouble is, the older I get and the more I use social media, the more I realise how little I know about football compared to all the experts on the internet. Life was simpler when I stood in The Paddock at the back of the tunnel in the '70s.
How refreshing to hear a manager talk with such passion and love for our club. I expect him to enthuse the players. If it fails this season or a few years from now at least it will have failed with everyone giving it a go. I am amazed that some on here can only remember the bad times. So for Ellers' benefit, I recall Oldham, the trip to the Millennium Stadium, thrashing Plymouth at Loftus Road in the top of the table clash the following season, in fact the whole of the following season starting with the demolition of Blackpool and ending with that fantastic day at Hillsborough especially the run in games at Loftus Road, the come back against Leicester from 2 down at half time, half the players being supporters of the club and dying their hair blue and white. Yes it did turn sour after a while but I think I'd lose the plot with an Italian crook running the club on borrowed money and just itching to get rid of me so that he could wheel and deal and bring in the dross on his books as a football agent.
We have had two successful managers in the last 15 years - Ian Holloway and Neil Warnock. They suit this club. Nobody else has come even close to achieving what they did. Redknapp and Hughes spent a fortune and left us hocked up to the eyeballs and in a worse position than we were when they first came. Clement sounds ideal. Except he does not want to come here. Some supporter he is. So forget about him. Move on. We don't have the money or the budget to tempt him and frankly if that is what he wants, he can **** off elsewhere. I'm not really interested in another tippy tappy merchant who has coached at some really big clubs but never had the final say when it comes to turning a game around and choosing the formations and players over a season or two.
For those who looked for an excuse to dislike Hasselbaink, Clement has at least two which apply to him. He was at Chelsea. He has no experience of management. Funny how people forget that Hasselbaink took Burton up in his first season there and they were top of League 1 by a country mile when we went for him. A damn sight more relevant experience than dear old PC. When we get into the Champions League it might be useful to have someone who knows how to cheat, feign injuries and play the system to con the refs. That however is for another day. He's been approached twice now and not been interested. I hope he is not asked again at least until he has bothered to take a pay cut and learned how to be a successful manager elsewhere in the EFL.
Looks life SLF is safe for now. He can't be accused any longer of only recruiting black managers. Although I'm sure that it won't be more than the first defeat for someone to suggest that Holloway was only recruited because he is his mate based I suppose on nothing more than the fact that they played together in that great team in the 90s.

Are you ITK on Clement or just speculating? Whatever have you forgotten he managed Derby? Relevant experience and they were 5th when they fired him.
Agree with most of that, but Clement said last time that he wouldn't leave Real Madrid mid-season, so why would he leave Bayern mid-season this time. If we wanted him, we should have stuck with JFH until the end of the season and then made a decision.
I do find it sad that people think I am anti-Ollie. When he first came to the club and we were on our knees I put money in the buckets supported the club just about every way I could. I went home and away most weeks I even watched the reserves. Those days with Ollie at the beginning were great even though the football was dire. I, like many other QPR fans loved the comments and fun under him however that was many years ago.
However just because some of you are happy with this doesn’t mean I am. As for comments like “give it a rest”? I am giving my side of the debate. If you don’t like it, don’t reply.
