We are nothing like Villa though. They were in trouble the previous season as well, whereas we have a vibrant team and a well run club.

He's french and hasn't worked in the EPL. That will be enough. Who cares though, lets hope he buys in to the project & brings something new to the table.

Yeah the PL experience is such bollocks. Just a throwaway comment done by pundits who can't think of anything else to say when it comes to a player/manager.
I'm sure there were some similar sentiments when Poch took over; we all now know that he is indeed a very good coach.
Our last 2 managers had never managed in the prem and were a success.....why not a 3rd? The board know more than I will ever know.
There are plenty of managers who have managed in the prem who I would not want anywhere near our team.... many are still in there!
Mildly underwhelmed by this after some of the names mentioned but the board have proved themselves pretty good at appointing managers so I'm happy to trust them.
True, but you can run a football club like a business.
