New Manager Thread

We are nothing like Villa though. They were in trouble the previous season as well, whereas we have a vibrant team and a well run club.

 

For no reason at all.

 

He's french and hasn't worked in the EPL. That will be enough. Who cares though, lets hope he buys in to the project & brings something new to the table.

 

Don't really see not managing in the premier league before as a problem. Every manager on the planet hadn't managed in the premier league at some point...

 

Yeah the PL experience is such bollocks. Just a throwaway comment done by pundits who can't think of anything else to say when it comes to a player/manager.

 

I'm sure there were some similar sentiments when Poch took over; we all now know that he is indeed a very good coach.

 

Here's his team's goals from last season.

 

Our last 2 managers had never managed in the prem and were a success.....why not a 3rd? The board know more than I will ever know.

 

There are plenty of managers who have managed in the prem who I would not want anywhere near our team.... many are still in there!

 

Mildly underwhelmed by this after some of the names mentioned but the board have proved themselves pretty good at appointing managers so I'm happy to trust them.

 

More important for players.

That's my worry you can't run a football club like a department store.

 

True, but you can run a football club like a business.

 

The department store has a ring of truth about it, as we will need to sell from time to time, for the right price tho.
