Telegraph update: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...test-potential-southampton-manager-to-drop-o/

- Saints seriously looked into Pellegrini
- Don't think he suits our player development orientated approach
- Not quite the right fit for us on the training ground
- Puel and Pereira are candidates
- Klinsmann was never even on any shortlist or under consideration
- Wanyama sale is imminent
- Redmond arrival is imminent
- Saints hope to have a new manager by the 28th still

And there we have it... Pereira according to Jeremy Wilson at the telegraph is still a runner despite him apparently ruling himself out in the Turkish press.

So that'd be the official news. If Puel or Pereira are the options, c'mon Pereira (even if that means we'd be hiring a lying Portuguese turncoat who just pledged himself to his current team).

If we put Puel to one side for a second and hypothesised that the only two candidates were Vitor Pereira or Marco Silva, who would everyone prefer and why?

So it's, if we go on what we know, Puel who is not particularly liked or rated, or Perreira who hasn't spent long at either of his last two clubs..

I was more suggesting I believe the Turkish press less than tthe uk. But didn't see the source.

Ahh, with you. Totally agree on that. Just kind of agreeing with most people's sentiment at the moment which is that we largely don't know a lot. We know the club have at least considered the viability of a lot of reasonably profiled managers, and talked to some of those, but operation 'Keep your cards close to the chest, and everyone guessing' is still ongoing.

I'm bored of this. Convinced myself for it to be Garcia, then our Manuel. Feel deflated now. I'll support whoever it is, but totally bored of this ITK rubbish.
In total agreement; could be the tea lady if she wanted the job just to get some closure - please Les - this is going on for too long!!

Sorry; a long day and this is really getting to me...

Problem is some people trust a poster no one has ever heard of before a few weeks ago. It's wise not to get too hyped on some one who you don't trust completely.
