The Echo said this - courtesy of that Arsenal Bloke DTLW Worth paying attention to... the Daily Echo say Saints will take their time appoint Koeman: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...e_their_time_replacing_Ronald_Koeman/?ref=rss Key Points - The deal for Ronald, Erwin and Jan is now done - Saints waiting for Everton to tie up loose ends and announce - The search for a new manager has already started - In the process of contacting managers on the shortlist - The Euros come at a good time for Saints, not much transfer business to be done before they're over - No signings will be made without the approval of the new manager - Likely to be an appointment in the next 14 days - Club deciding between another 'stepping stone' manager and someone to commit longer-term - Wanyama still has a contract offer on the table but can go if we get an acceptable bid - Reports of Mané being unsettled or putting in a transfer request are false
Has anyone considered the fact that Woy is big mates with our Les and if England crash out of the Euros early, he may be looking for a job? Good enough reason to hope England go all the way then!! Another thought that I had was that the reason they bought Nigel back for SKD's testimonial? A year under him whilst we sort out someone for the future? What do you reckon? Always like to be positive about these things, you know .......
I wish he was linked, he's a much better option than FDB in my opinion, got some good results with PSV in the Champions League this season too.
Likewise. Would need to chuck a big offer at him, but surely we can? Maybe he'll be the one out of leftfield that'll surprise us all.... *prays to Les*
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...-year-deal-Ronald-Koeman-Football-News-Gossip Might as well get the ball rolling!
I didn't realise there's the possibility of Denis Bergkamp coming with him... That'd be interesting. I'd like to see what he'd do with a talent like Hesketh.
I'll tell you who else would be happy about that, every single Arsenal fan anywhere! They will be eyeing him up from day one. But, we know the price for success, so I'd take that.
https://www.clubcall.com/southampton/saints-managerial-target-rejects-lazio-job-1812423.html Reported that FDB has turned down Lazio. As we know everything is true in papers if you want to believe it and a total fabrication if you don't. FDB would be ok for me if Uncle Les says so.
Bit of a weird decision from Koeman, I could understand if he went to a 'big' club, but Everton is a bit of a sideways step. As to the new guy, Marcelo Biesla is still out of work, would've loved to have seen him turn up at West Ham, though I'll not complain about the job Bilic has done.
