Now we all love Rudi, imagine our disappointment if we sign someone else. Les Reed will whip off the cover and go...Ta da! And we'll look like people expecting steak who find the waiter has delivered 3 day old liver.
*Looks around furtively to see if Fats is awake* - shall we just stop this one now? He might not notice there's a pun-off. It'll save a lot of pain later!
Rudi is now 10/11 on 3 betting sites....they obviously suspect something and/or serious money has been loaded on him.
I'd be delighted, the Roma squad he was sacked with was very unbalanced due to Sabatini's weird transfer activity. Despite this he still managed to get Roma to the knockout stages of the CL, but was obviously sacked before these rounds which was unfortunate for him. He very much likes wing play, so the Redmond signing would make a lot of sense and I think he'd be a key player for us under Garcia. Also worth noting that Garcia is very much a 'players coach' and players love playing for him. Also, he got sent off for playing an imaginary violin when Tevez was taking a penalty for Juve. Supposed to be in reference to the referees always helping Juve.
Hopefully if he stays, I'm not sure where he would fit into Garcia's 4-3-3 - probably on the right wing.
At Lille and Roma he liked to set up a 'council of the wise' which is usually 5 players from the team, the players basically talk about what's good or bad outside the field, but also discuss tactics and how the team should play. Interesting interview with the guy where he talks about this: http://www.worldsoccer.com/features/face-to-face-rudi-garcia-342181
