I really rate Guido , the problem is I think I'm the only one .
His record with Udinese for his last 4 seasons is a jaw dropper.
3 top 5's , 119,000,000 € made in transfers over the 4 seasons .
He has taken us from 1 point from relegation to 12 points from relegation , grabbing half the points available along the way after 14 games and everyone wants him out !!
Most don't like the style his team plays but he just got here and worked miracles with a team he didn't create .
Well I still hope we keep him , seems a transfer Guru .......cheers

I think you may find that transfer dealings were outside of his remit - the Pozzo's tend to have a team specifically to handle recruitment etc.

The issue of playing style may well be the same here - QSF has made some less than fathomable decisions regarding tactics and team selection, and stubbornly adheres to them even knowing that they're not working.

I don't know about that , would need to see prove as managers generally have great say in transfers .
He done well elsewhere also but what he did at Udenese was amazing .
His first season when they finished 3rd , Udenese scored the 2nd highest amount of goals , so it wasn't just a defensive thing . Thanks for insight

Does that include the ones he was in hospital for and Alan Curtis was in charge?

WD sport reckon the Pozzos let Flores buy his "own" players in January - and then aren't happy that the likes of Suarez/Amrabat have hardly been used - or been very ineffective when played.

Clearly the new manager will be under strict instructions to select from players signed by the club and it seems almost certainly give younger players a chance.

I think that one of the big problems is that clubs on the continent can afford to have very large playing squads because their reserve teams are often playing in lower divisions - so keeping the reserves match fit and competitive is not a problem there.

Whatever happens I don't think we are going to be too popular in the media again but then we should be used to that and the Pozzos won't care one bit (unless the new manager proves to be a right dud!)

He will be expected to have us in mid-table come Christmas I presume? Or certainly not looking like relegation fodder...

The press will probably miss Flores smile and easy-going nature in a way when it comes to interviews..

If QSF does leave whoever comes in will be expected to achieve at least the same league position but entertain us a bit more whilst doing it.
