I always back the team then the owners the current manager then the players in that order .Its always sad when a true Watford man moves on but thats football
Dunno if he will go, sounds like decisions to be made. After this season it is bad timing though. Guess Joka felt the same mind...
Someone just posted this on the Wobby site re QSF: 'For me, he's a good man with a genuinely nice way about him. Sometimes, tactically, I wonder if he has been wrong. But if we finish mid table, how many can argue with that?' Sounds about right to me.
That's more or less my opinion. I think the only reason we're having this debate is due to the manner of some of the performances and a seeming inability to be more flexible in team selection. FA Cup semi-final and a possible 11th place is probably beyond our expectations of last August. The reality is a catalogue of missed opportunities. And there's the rub.
Today he proved his stubbornness and inflexibility and it seems it will prove to be his downfall. Shame, he seems like a nice bloke, but he's got it wrong too many times since Christmas to justify staying imo.
Looking at his coaching record, it's a bit of a mixed bag - some success, some less than successful, but no abject failures - with the bulk of it in Spain, where he progressed through from youth coaching. He does seem to favour playing the 'Spanish Way', which makes me wonder - does he actually have any coaching qualifications?
Yesterday evening I watched Granada play and the gulf between the PL and Spanish top division football is vast. Loads of space to do some pretty things, no players being closed down quickly, it was the opposite of our game against Villa. It was pleasing to watch, but you can see why players who are used to playing in that way find the step up to the English game so difficult.
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...d-Swansea-Premier-League-Brendan-Rodgers-News Not sure what to make of this one. He only took over at Swansea in January and has managed 18 points out of a possible 39, but they are still below us in the table. I'm not convinced that he's better than what we already have.
I'm not convinced either BB. But he fits the bill - has managed 15 clubs already (including Udinese) so is used to 'moving on'. Has not managed to get any of those clubs significantly above mid table - has only been in Britain since january, and is still learning the language - will not ask for too much money, so he appears to fit !
Add to the mix Swansea picked up points whilst he was ill and his record does not look better than what QSF has done in 2016.
Think Swansea fans find Guidolin too negative.. Plays a diamond formation and can be quite cautious at times when ahead.
The Guidolin rumour has been doing the rounds for several weeks. I cannot believe he is better than QSF. On Match of the Day last night they asked the question, who could Watford get in who would be better? They seemed surprised that the club would even be thinking about it.
that's because they only see '12th' and 'FA Cup semi final'...they don't see what we see week in week out and how we have been suffering since Christmas
Quite - although a few have said we just rely on the strikers (and Gomes) so they are kind of answering their own questions about our doubts.
Flores included a break clause himself - I wonder if that actually goes against him? Do the Pozzos think he is committed to doing what they might want him to do? I notice the media are looking in from the outside asking "why"? but it has to be said changes will need to be made in terms of tactics as we won't get away with a run like post Christmas next season..
Tactics is the main reason for me.... including not using players in position and poor attacking strategies... makes for such frustrating football to watch BUT he did exactly as asked.... as Joka did ( )...
