I do remember the good times because after over 60 years of continued support for this club, support at matches, not sat in front of a laptop or a telly, I haven't seen too many. Also you have no idea where the £50m we have took for transfers since Acun came has gone. You took a guess that it been reinvested into the club, and I sincerely hope it has, only time will tell.Who said anything about invested well? The point was the money from sales has gone back into the club, spent well or not, it hasn't been pocketed by Acun to fund a new jet.
You prefer to remember the conveniently good times where they lucked into a good manager who took us up. No one's forgetting it, just pointing out that after the Hull Tigers debacle they shut up shop.
I hope we are going to see a new beginning at the club too with the new manager, and of course wish him well, and will be in the ground to support him.
But it's the rubbishing of the only family besides the Needlers who have put their own money into the club and the rubbishing of our history that I don't agree with.
We didn't come across Steve Bruce by luck, or win promotion to the PL by luck either, he wasn't lucky signing the players to achieve that either, it took someone brave enough to put their name on the cheques.
It could have ended better, that I agree with, but we didn't finish up in administration either.
The Hull Tigers idea was ridiculous but there were two sides to that story and Hull City Council don't come out of it smelling of roses. We had a golden opportunity to do something and between club and council we failed, but we only see the finger of blame pointed in one direction.
Perhaps 'they' shut up shop after being ridiculed over the name change and wanting to develop the stadium and West Park because Assem was terminally ill and the family had other priorities ?
