Whatever, I still think he was left fieldMarco Silva was a well respected coach in his own country at the time and wanted a crack at the English Premier League. His cv was over looked at City when it first dropped through the post.

He was, and still is apparently, Portuguese.Whatever, I still think he was left field
Sounds reasonable, I’ve no reason to doubt that so I’ll go with your opinion on thatHe was, and still is apparently, Portuguese.
You mean the story off this guy's facebook page?!?Photo doing the rounds suggesting Cooper was in Hull, since when his odds have come in to 8/1 with Sky Bet.

I think the word is [HASHTAG]#guffaw[/HASHTAG]
Can’t win can he !!!Someone like Hughton or Neil seems a bit regressive. My concern is that Acun is seeing all the talk from fans of "experienced championship manager" and might go for one of those on that basis. He does seem prone to that kind of populist decision-making. His Pandur thing and his "must play a recognised striker" thing with Rosenior both seem like things he'd picked up from fans' complaints, as did the childishly simplistic thing of going for a "more attacking manager" when that was never really the problem but a lot of fans thought it was. And then even sacking Walter it seems he was reluctant to do until he heard the demand for it first hand at a match he was at. I think he is easily led by a mob voice.
Your reputation precedes youWhat an odd page, just tried joining to see the post, answered all the questions, was denied all 3 times twice saying I'd not answered the questions then the 3rd time I was blocked haha
I’d be happy with safer bets of;
Cooper
Robins
Schumacher
Eustace
Would understand (if they impressed at interview) us taking a punt on:
Selles
Bloomfield
Would be confused and bemused by;
Hughton
We couldn't interview Selles or Bloomfield without getting their club's permission first and having some sort of agreement in place over a compensation fee.
Bruce was'nt sacked he walked.Alex Neil isn’t my first choice, whoever we get will probably be out of work. They’ll probably be out of work cos they’ve been sacked. I don’t think we’ll go for an in work man with the championship experience eg John eustace.
Are we really in a position to turn down Alex Neil…he isn’t the most attractive prospect but then City aren’t the prettiest girl in the playground as duffen world say.
Who was our last big appointment, Bruce maybe name wise but he’d been sacked.
Silva was good but he was a left field appointment. Everyone since had been a punt with no great track record.
There was no mention of his previous job.He walked from us - think the original post meant he had been sacked from his previous job (wherever that was)
There was no mention of his previous job.
there was no mention of his previous job either, just that he has been sacked. Which was my point any championship manager out of work will have blemishes on his record. ie sacked at some pointThere was no mention of his previous job.
oopsBruce was'nt sacked he walked.
My mistake I thought you were talking about when he left us.oops
Bruce was dismissed as manager on 30 November 2011, with Sunderland in 16th position
