Someone like Hughton or Neil seems a bit regressive. My concern is that Acun is seeing all the talk from fans of "experienced championship manager" and might go for one of those on that basis. He does seem prone to that kind of populist decision-making. His Pandur thing and his "must play a recognised striker" thing with Rosenior both seem like things he'd picked up from fans' complaints, as did the childishly simplistic thing of going for a "more attacking manager" when that was never really the problem but a lot of fans thought it was. And then even sacking Walter it seems he was reluctant to do until he heard the demand for it first hand at a match he was at. I think he is easily led by a mob voice.
Can’t win can he !!!

I’d be happy with safer bets of;

Cooper
Robins
Schumacher
Eustace

Would understand (if they impressed at interview) us taking a punt on:

Selles
Bloomfield

Would be confused and bemused by;

Hughton

We couldn't interview Selles or Bloomfield without getting their club's permission first and having some sort of agreement in place over a compensation fee.

Yep - and probably why on the 1904 pod they said it was likely to be an out of work manager we go for…

Cooper
Robins
Schumacher
Neil
Jokanovic

I suspect Cooper might be on a good garden leave wedge, so perhaps less inclined. Robins may also still be on the Coventry payroll - not sure if we’d have to pay anything for him? Hopefully Ghana have an extortionate package for Hughton to be bought out of his contract!

Alex Neil isn’t my first choice, whoever we get will probably be out of work. They’ll probably be out of work cos they’ve been sacked. I don’t think we’ll go for an in work man with the championship experience eg John eustace.
Are we really in a position to turn down Alex Neil…he isn’t the most attractive prospect but then City aren’t the prettiest girl in the playground as duffen world say.
Who was our last big appointment, Bruce maybe name wise but he’d been sacked.
Silva was good but he was a left field appointment. Everyone since had been a punt with no great track record.
Bruce was'nt sacked he walked.

Acun was at Fener game, he is trending again, so no manager talks tonight, at least in person. Let's wait tomorrow.
