Simons hit the keeper when it was easier to score and Puerta also missed a decent first half chance. Kamara also tried to score from a tight angle when a cut back for one of 3 players coming into the box was the better option. All of these at 1-0 and any of them go in and it's game over.
We get this kind of comment a lot. Championship teams miss a lot of chances, so they need to create a lot of chances. We don't, and that's the problem.

If simons scores you could say Portsmouth should have scored at the end. Puerta was a tight angle.

Absolutely right. And none of these things are Tim's fault either.

One thing I would like to see, is Belloumi not taking the short corner, but rather be the spare man on the angle... thinking Hutchinson against us at home last year...

And his detractors were howling about it. Surely if you take offence at one you take offence at both, rather than condemn one and defend the other?
I just think the denominator is our fans jumping on managers who require time. Walter was sold short in summer as was Liam last season with striker signings, they are/have both paid the price for a negligent board. As seen with Sunderland sacking Mowbray, subsequently hiring Beale, it never ends well when fans are so miffed from the prior sacking

Acun has been saying we’ll permanently sign a top striker since be bought the club but it still hasn’t happened. I doubt it’ll happen for the next manager either.

That’s the other common denominator. Walter will be the fall guy for board incompetence, he may not be the most liked guy in Hull right now but he’s certainly not at fault solely

Sunderland is an interesting comparison to be fair.

Board taking all kinds of belters throughout pre-season.

Made a. Left-field appointment.

Made the right appointment didn't they?

Even if they don't sustain it.

They're punching above their weight and have a bit of momentum.

On the other hand....
