And he is right. It's embarrassing. To hear Portsmouth sing football in a library whilst we are 1-0 up tells you everything.

The players must hate playing at home, and the results are showing.
He might be right but when you draw with bottom of the league that is just astronomical levels of copium. The way we are set up is just never going to get fans on side, we completely played into them

But he would be right to argue that when the stadium is silent other than the away fans for most of a game it is hard for our players to get through tough periods of games, especially with such a young squad.

Ten Haag literally just released a statement yesterday stating how amazing the fans were home and away when they needed them.

You don't need inside info to know the players will be sick of playing in a library. They've come from big clubs like Leeds, Sheffield United, even Leverkusen and they are now hearing nothing but sighs whenever they try and patiently build up for a penetrative attack.

It's embarrassing. Tim is right to ask for the fans to give more. The players are right to expect more.

I think its embarrassing and the fans are right to ask the manager and players to give more

If he goes, do we think anyone at the club has been building a shortlist, analysing who would be a good fit, making enquiries? Who do we have doing that kind of work?

And Ten Hag still got sacked.

We had three shots on target. That's on Walter, not the fans.

He’s not wrong about the atmosphere.

Respectfully though to him. Turning on the fans after the worst performance of the season is a fast track way to getting the sack.

I didn't hear it as turning on the fans. Mike White asked him if he heard the reaction at the end and he said 'yes, but also I'd like a reaction during the game' or something similar. He then quantified it by explaining it is a young squad and they need the fans to get behind them.

If anyone took that as blaming the fans then they missed the earlier parts of his interview where he explained that not taking chances was our downfall today

We need someone to steady the ship a bit. Create a simple style that has some direction. Theres good players in the squad but we are trying too hard and creating complex and difficult situations which in turn is making the players uncomfortable.

I would probably take Schumacher. I don’t think he would but I wouldn’t mind us going after Moyes

I do feel for him, lots are jumping on it as something it’s obviously not, but like you say, you pick and choose when to say this. Say it after the atmosphere is terrible after winning, not after a turgid performance against bottom of the league

I heard the whole thing in the car and I still take it as a deflection on the reality of that game. I’ve been a keen defender of him and Rosenior before in the press as generally speaking it’s all PR fluff.

But he’s come out pointing fingers and he’s not pointing them at himself. His set up has no plan if a team punches us in the face and Pompey did that to us. He made no adjustments tactically. Just threw on a whole new midfield. It’s arrogance. I’m all for philosophy but make some god damn adjustments when your team is back to the wall.

What isnit about Schumacher's style that you think would work with this squad?
