I think if it was true amber, I wouldn’t mind it. It just looked too orange on the screen. I will add though, I am yet to see it in person.

Technically, it’s the same amber shade used on the home kit. Pantone 15-1153 ‘Apricot’ or Hex #F19035.

I think the issue is that if we used true ‘amber’, it would look too yellow or golden, like a Wolves kit. At least with the ‘Apricot’ colour, it resembles a tiger’s stripes better.

I think it is close to Wolves colours, which is old gold if my memory serves me correct.
