I'm struggling to remember the names of some of the independent sports shops .!
There was one down HOLDERNESS rs and one in Bransholme shopping centre also !
Allsports on Ferensway was great for Subbuteo stuff !

He had a rack of shirts where the counter in Planet Coffee is now and they were all odds and sods from previous years for a tenner each. At the same time I got the City shirt I got a white Kansas City Attack shirt made by Bukta and a Norwich kit with green stripes over the shoulder made by Asics.

Given the way 90s shirts have become so collectable, that shop would have been a ****ing goldmine.

The bloke was a nasty racist as well if I recall. When Springbok sports opened down the other end of the Avenue he used to call them "Pakies" and balked at the idea that me and my Dad might shop there. My Dad stopped taking me there after that.

Afraid not. I still have the City shirt. I used to play out in the Kansas City one and that got trashed and I have no idea what happend to the Norwich one. I only seem to remember wearing it on sports day as I was on the yellow team!

Have you noticed that most of your posts recently are about you not being able to remember something? Should we be getting worried? Or is it the Leffe?
