It's awful so many people won't be buying it but I won't be either.

Absolute shame as I think the shirt looks great. However, got to stand by your principles can't just break it because I like the shirt.
I suppose you could by it at the end of the season for £10 and know the Allams have made a loss on it ??

I haven't had one since my daughter bought me the dark blue one with the 2 light blue stripes !
I do like this one though.
I never liked the Tiger skin ones before but this ones nice !

Replica shirts out!

Nasty, stinky, sweaty polyester. Besides, I think the new shirt is ****. Never buy one either. I did like the amber jersey with the two black horizontal chest hoops back in the sixties. I remember buying city stuff from a shop in town but the name eludes me. I think it started with A ... possibly Asbestos or something like that. Anyone remember?

On the corner opposite Dram shop, on the corner of Jameson Street and Bond street. I got my first football boots here.

The Shop was called "Asbestos" and later changed to ARCO, fancy calling a shop Asbestos.
It had very steep narrow stairs to the upper floor, I know this well because in 1972 or 1973, I fell down them whilst carrying my daughter, I managed to go down on my back whilst holding her on my chest, she was OK, I eventually had an operation on my knee, which was dicky through a motor bike accident, hence the fall. Happy days.

I got my first cricket bat at Asbestos back in the early 70s, a reward for getting into the school team. A Gray Nicholls. It lasted forever, school, through Uni and into a few seasons of club cricket. No bat I have had since has matched its longevity, or its six-hitting capability.

Ditto, but mine was a Duncan Fearnley with a weird plastic coating on it....... I think it's still in the garage
