New kit?

Considering we start our season with the europa league just over a month away, when on earth are we launching the new kit?

The marketing is farcical, why leave it so long to launch it?
 
We had to have the 'no name' badge approved by the beginning of Feb to enable Umbro to get the gear made in the third world sweatshops in good time (almost 4 months ago).

Let's hope our current owner doesn't throw his toys out like he did with Adidas.
 
in the shops by the latter weeks of july I have just been told from the club shop

Even though it's him I wouldn't be surprised if he's right. I'm sure it's happened before in recent years (the kit not being on sale by the time the team are wearing it).

I don't understand why though. I'm sure 5-10 years ago you got kits released before pre-season, signings were also done before the friendlies and squad numbers were made official towards the end of the pre-season games. Nowadays it seems like manufacturers and clubs have got lazy and don't seem to realise they can generate excitement with this kind of stuff while nothing else is happening.
 
Generate excitment but more importantly cash, people going on holiday want new gear to show there colours best time of year for sales has to be just before the main holiday season starts.
 
it is not just the kit, the shop is being completely done over as all branding has to go adidas wise , as the staff said the stock is the smallest thing to take care of,

as far as release goes, it will be released earlier obviously and he let it slip both are basically the same but no customer shirts until towards end of july
 
Random bit of news, the training kit is the same maroon colour as the England training kit at this years World Cup. Kit has a collar. Hardly Ground breaking news I know but enjoy.

Maroon will make a change from the constant lazy efforts from Adidas of blue training kit.
Is the new away likely to be white ???

I've been told the foam hands are getting upgraded and there will be a bigger range of jester hats for next season.

This could be key in enticing the missing fans back.
 
2 Sponsors for Home Kit, One Domestic one Europa. Blue Kit and I think Black, but not sure on that one. All quite retro.
 
Most of the problem is the players are on holiday at the time the club receives the kits from the supplier leaving no one around the model the kit for when the club launch the kit. So clubs either launch new kits at the end of last season or after the first week of pre season
