Sorry for bumping this back up. Does anyone know when to expect the 2nd release of the retro kit? Assuming it’ll be after the actual 24/25 shirts have launched
They'll probably just announce it the day before it goes on sale
We always seem to be one of the last clubs to announce kits, other teams do it early to get money in. There's literally no benefit to waiting, other than perhaps the idea of building suspense. Which to me is stupid because you can build suspense lat any point.

It’s always the first week of July for us to release a kit when other clubs do it in late May or throughout June. There’s no benefit for waiting so long. The Matchwinner shirt proves people will buy shirts this early.
It's a relatively recent thing too. I remember one season when I was a kid we played the last game of a season in the new kit for the following season. In recent years we've done the opposite - worn the old kit in a pre-season friendly because the new one wasn't ready yet. Strange that this process has seemingly become so much less efficient.
Does it make any difference though? People will buy the kits whenever it's released- it's not really a competitive market, City fans won't buy another team's shirt just because ours isn't yet released.
So they could afford it if it's released earlier? Not really making sense there.of course it makes a difference, especially in a tournament year
some people might purchase england kits with the hype, and deciding they cant budget for a city kit too
theres a reason many clubs show their new kit at the end of the season though
Especially the cost of the England shirt ,?So they could afford it if it's released earlier? Not really making sense there.
If the budget is so tight it's probably not a good financial decision to buy a replica shirt.
Very good point well made old bean.of course it makes a difference, especially in a tournament year

That was the the last full season at Boothferry Park wasn't it? Then we kept it for the half Boothferry, half KC season and the Div 3 promotion season. Can't see us ever wearing the same home shirt in three different seasons ever again. It's a relatively recent thing too. Do we think it’ll be stripes again this season or full amber?
I prefer plain amber personally but think jumping between the 2 is a good ideaDo we think it’ll be stripes again this season or full amber?

If I was going to have Amber, I would prefer her to be attractive sooner than plain.I prefer plain amber personally but think jumping between the 2 is a good idea
I'm on about what I prefer ( not that I'd buy nowadays ) and plain amber is my preference but I ain't bothered either wayIf we hadn’t played in stripes originally we would not have our nickname. I would have stripes all the time , personally.
