My question would be how the approach to this transfer window has changed compared to the two last season in terms of what kind of player we're looking for.

Got rid of every social media account I had about eight years ago now. You are right, life is so much simpler without it. It was a bit like losing a body part initially but once I got used to it, a whole new world, the real world, became clearer again.
I don't post or get involved, it's just hilarious seeing the degree of self-entitlement and arrogance.

I tried tik tok a month or so back. My sons band do a lot on there and are followed by some decent music folk. Thought I would look in. Lasted a day and deleted my account, completely lost I was.
I have never been on any other. Really dont get it at all. Probably an age thing, but it just doesnt appeal.

It may be that it's because the 90 minutes is all there is, for them, and they over analyse everything.
People who go have the consolation of the sense of togetherness and the pleasure of seeing friends, having a pint and being part of something with history and tradition. Perhaps that makes people who don't go feel bitter about the club and those who enjoy the day, sometimes despite the football.
I included the son in law in that analogy. He always had to watch Man Utd games on TV until the mags got took over by the Saudis now he's a staunch mag for some reason along with the rest of his family. The grandson is decked or in black and white gear and we went in holiday with them last year. I was winding the grandson up about a black and white top and all of a sudden he came out with "my son will never be a staunch Sunderland fan!". That was it - gloves off! The wife had a go and said about going to games which he came back with the proverbial "can't get tickets". I've heard that so many times from mouthy mags that a switch kicked in and give him a mouthful. Kept away from us after that for a day!
He's a proper premier league fan and that kind of thing seriously annoys me. Yes watch games on TV (and I may be wrong about this - probably am!) but until you actually go to games, get involved with the team you watch - it's never one of those things you can explain, you actually FEEL what it's like to be involved with the club. You don't just support the club, you actually love it then you never really know what it's like to be a fan. I'm trying to get the grandson like me - always said I wouldn't but needs must

Honestly what **** show is that, they took too long to appt a manager. That's gone now just get on and support the team
We have never had a flirt with relegation !Three managers, a flirt with relegation, two disastrous transfer windows, the managerial search fiasco and numerous off pitch issues burn through the goodwill quickly.
They've made a decent start on building it back up with the new strip but there's still a long way to go. Some good signings this window will continue the positivity, as will getting a look at how we're going to set up on the pitch. All perfectly possible if the will is there to make it happen.
I'd like to consider last season to be an unfortunate 'relapse'. You don't trust immediately after the first day sober though.
