Good first interview, looking forward to seeing him on the training ground tomorrow and some new signings through the door soon.
That's what I was thinking. It's all gone very quiet in that respect.Has he brought anyone with him yet?
Agree with this. For all I know, they might do, but I think every new appointment and every new signing should be given an introduction to the history of the club.

Hope this gets sorted quickly. The coaching needs a shake up and would be nice to get it done early. It’s a big move for these lads though a lot to sort out moving to a new country. Will be disappointed if it turns out he’s on his ownThat's what I was thinking. It's all gone very quiet in that respect.
I don’t even look who’s wrote the post, I just give a like if I like it. I think I’ve even given you one or two![]()

But your avatar is now on a board in the committee room with a bit of string connecting it to mine. Along with everyone who has ever liked one of my posts.
Exile's avatar is in the centre of the board.

If the club can make it a trap door over a shark pit, that would put them in the black.
If he struggled to get a work permit, I imagine it’ll be even harder for his staffHas he brought anyone with him yet?
why?
something good for the club and those taking part and you still have to post some negative (and possibly hurtful to those taking part) for no absolute reason that i can see.
I’ve just looked, if I take mine away from you, you only have 3I look after I've given a like and if it's one of yours I rescind it![]()

Don’t know about roundabouts but I know Nig swings, well his tits does anywayBut you'd move down the list. Swings and roundabouts.

The more anoraky, the better, in my opinion. But history does have to be well presented to get people to engage. Having said that, I don't like seeing accuracy sacrificed to achieve engagement.100% agree with this but I'm not sure it should be an unscripted talk with Rob Mason to start off, he's a bit of an anorak
Maybe there's something that can be done between him and Fulwell 73 where they could put together a selection of videos, history of the area, history of the club, footage of Promotion seasons for the league, footage of our cup history when it's FA Cup week, even go as far as interviews with players who got Sunderland and were embraced by us (Quinny, Defoe, Ball etc) or one with former academy players who've made it to professional football (Hendo and Pickford key obviously).
An hour of that kind of stuff every week in a break from training would be great, even if it allows one player to get that connection with the club or one academy prospect to push that bit harder to make it.

Not knocking it as it’s what you'd expect from a club welcome interview but I hope we get something a bit more in-depth from him at some point. A bit more detail on his playing philosophy and what the identity he talks about would look like and perhaps how he sees that working with our squad. You must log in or register to see media
