Not 'being in credit' to people who don't go to support the club or ever have anything good to say might seem relevant to them ...

... thankfully we have thousands of decent people who follow the club, home and away, who more than balance the books.

It's dreary seeing a few people endlessly picking fault when the club are doing so much to rebuild from the basket case we once were. Short, despite himself, then Donald and Methven destroyed so much trust, goodwill from the backroom staff, the academy, the stadium and our reputation.

We're now in a position whereby the biggest clubs will happily send us their players, good ambitious players will sign/stay, the stadium and kit are being resurrected and the supporters are capable of taking the odd knock, and backward step, without becoming hysterical.

I like SAFC at the moment ...

... so much so that, after 60 years of support I'm buying my first ever season ticket.

As a permanent exile, since the age of eight, my support has been excellent :emoticon-0103-cool: but, despite often seeing virtually every home game, I either couldn't risk that amount up front, or was living/working in another country so never knew my availability.

Looking back it's cost a fortune but, who cares, it's been brilliant ...

... so many memories, so many great people and so many great games.

So, for any eight year olds reading this don't listen to these f***ing boring w**nkers whining on about f*ck all, the pack of miserable c*nts ...

... listen to yer Uncle Smug and get to every game you can, keep the faith and Ha'way the Lads!!!

If you don't I know where you live <whistle>
I’ve been saying the same thing but in a slightly milder way<laugh><laugh><laugh>

The forum seems to be a lot friendlier when you're not advertising how much better a supporter than anyone else you are and provoking fights with anyone who doesn't think exactly as you do.

So maybe take your own advice and allow the rest of us to discuss our opinions without piling in. Scroll on by, it's not a challenge to a duel.

See, if I reply to this, is that 'derailing the thread'?

Get on the big red Modphone and ask them.

'Derailing the thread' = a different opinion on the same series of events.

Not derailing the thread - attacking the person with the different opinion.

I'm not playing the victim - victims don't have a go back.

Conform.

You're hitting on something prudent here, not to move off football because there are other threads for those things, but to love something isn't to hate something else, also to love what is yours (Sunderland AFC in this example) doesn't mean you're ignoring the bad things that have happened in the past.

People who are eternally blackpilled on here need to shamed out of their behaviour tbh, because we are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen.
Couldn't agree more.

Love this club. Love this forum. Love all posters on here, even the one who's a tad over negative for some reason I don't understand.

Blessings

One thing that makes this forum better than RTG is that you can have strong disagreements with people and get along great with them on the next thread, RTG seems to be engulfed in bitter feuds and cruel mockery.

Funny thing is with Smug having a pop at me, which is fine. Grrrr. One of the reasons I came over here was because I was having his back over the Dell shenanigans, which the argumentative twat has been either right about or he’s Doris Stokes, as a lot of stuff he said they were looking into whether they were Dell of FFP has come to pass.

So, if I was in a clique, it was his! Anyhow he probably eats Sugar Puffs some of us don’t. FTM STID.

Honest mistake mate but tbf it wasn't even a pop at you, it was general.

I just find it insulting that dozens of people are called sycophants simply because they agree with summat I've said.

Most people, on here, are more than capable of making up their own minds ...

... suggesting they're stupid and in my thrall is very poor.

You're obviously not <laugh>

I don't see it the same as you, yes last season was not good for the first team but the club did very well as a club. As for a huge step backwards I do not agree, more a bump in the road and maybe a bit of levelling out. This season as with every season is a clean slate and a time to look forward and not back and for me a perfect chance to be optimistic and hopefull. It seems to me your judgements are based solely on first team efforts and it is difficult to see that the majority of our team last year could have played for the U23's as they could have done the year before. We have a very good looking academy and a stable base which we have not had for years.
This allows us to concentrate on the first team a bit more now and to maybe bring in the more experienced players that some fans crave. However I guess that is a stand back and look at the big picture view and possibly a bit of an optimistic view but as a supporter I like that optimism and the romance of football on the whole. Which brings me back to your original analogy, maybe you dropped your pants too early and did not show enough romance or attention to lady involved and that is why you keep getting kicked in the balls <diva> man up mate and show her some love :emoticon-0152-heart
Wow. ****ing wisdom right there

I could only hope to have the level of apparent influence that this exile bloke had here.

Dude's like The Undertaker. Even the threat of him makes people **** their pants.

Bong.

Bong.

Bong.

Maybe he'll return as The Mackem Badass.

Yes, I'm laughing at you. Sleep tight.

If you're posting on the 'New Head Coach' thread with an opinion about the new head coach that's fair enough, even if it's completely negative. That's not my issue at all. It's when people come on to whinge about the BCB, Beale or why Alex Pritchard was forced out of the club ...

... it's nothing to do with having a different opinion, it's when the same tedious moans are posted on every thread.

I'm happy for people to be aggrieved about the BCB, I'm just totally bored hearing how aggrieved they are.

And that's my opinion, I'm not denying their right to one.
