Regardless of who our head coach is, they need some first team ready players brought in this summer. Without that we will struggle again and it’s then pretty irrelevant who we appoint!

The club could've easily saved themselves loads of hassle and moaning from certain sections of the support.

They could've appointed someone like Heckingbottom without any fuss, travelling, compensation, etc.

That would've said 'lack of ambition' imo.

Instead they've clearly put quite some time, effort and money into appointing someone they clearly have faith in.

I don't know if he'll be a success at the club ...

... I do know that, in my mind and many others, he'll be 'innocent unless proven guilty'.
