On this, I got told a couple weeks ago by some QPR lads that Cifuentes was 100% away.
Didn’t think it was going to be us but certainly starting to look that way, a very good appointment if so. Did a cracking job at QPR and well loved for what he did fixing the mess the goth made

I wasn't making it out to be a fairy tale at all. They were in trouble when he arrived at Hull and they were well clear by the end of the season. He did a job similar to Cifuentes has just done at QPR, who many are raving about. The next season he took Hull to 7th. Prior to Hull he did a good job at Derby, according to their fans and most accounts. So, he has done a good job in his coaching roles so far, not spectacular but good. He's a bright lad and would know where he went wrong in not getting Hull 6th. I think he could be a really good appointment.

I don't think so mate. The fact he was available when Beale was sacked would definitely rub people up the wrong way, considering how long this recruitment process has taken. We could have appointed him months ago, if he had a chance of getting the job.

No mate. The issue is that in taking this long, the wait has to be justifiable. They had to get the appointment right either way. As soon as Beale got sacked, the next appointment was always massive. It’s even bigger now imo.
There are a lot of moaning bastards and depressives in our online fan base. If they didn’t moan on appointment give them a month. Some are gasping for things to go wrong to justify their conspiracy thinking.
Some of it is ridiculous like, I agree. I think the majority through are just concerned over the length of time it is taking. All we’ve really learned so far is that Still turned it down and Jansen is no longer in the running. Whatever the truths are of those two things - the optics aren’t good when we have been searching since February. Needs resolving ASAP and has to be someone who can get the fans on side.
