There wouldn't be anything abnormal about subsaharan Africans being present in Britain in the Roman period. As I say, significantly noteworthy, but not abnormal.

It looks to me like that BBC piece has been written by someone with a poor understanding of the subject, prior to the further testing, who hasn't understood the nuances that would be present within the work carried out on the skeleton.

As far as I recall about Cheddar Man, there was no implication that he was of African origin. Just that the Mesolithic inhabitants of the British Isles (or that part of it) were darker skinned than people are now.

Two things, firstly Cheddar man being framed as BAME in accordance with diversity quotas where you might get a Somali or Pakistani saying something like, "England was always a non-White (ethnically European) country, just look at Cheddar man!", most rhetoric works on this sort of level, the average IQ in Britain is 100 afterall.

Secondly, it's interesting you researched political manipulation of archaeology but cannot see it from the other side, perhaps you're partisan on these issues?

The average IQ is 100 full stop. The test is manipulated every few years to ensure that is the case, to make 100 the benchmark.

IQ is a deeply flawed metric in any case. It will tell you some things of limited importance, in my opinion, on one hand, and miss an awful lot on the other hand.

Not sure why you mentioned it tbh.

You're just obfuscating here, my point about IQ was that unexceptional people are not generally versed in rhetoric and can be fooled by these kinds of propaganda. IQ is the best metric we have and correlates quite closely with a number of lifestyle outcomes. You can say you don't like it, but it's the best we have.

Not sure about the link with Jansen but he absolutely fits the bill. The AZ model of developing youth selling on and using data is exactly what we are aiming for he was heavily linked with both Celtic and Rangers and also looked at by Feynord Saying all that Dutch managers do seem to struggle abroad generally well liked but seem to hit an impasse with the club Worked with a couple of Dutch lads over the years Sound but very forthright and in your face they absolutely say it as it is. Would be interesting to see how he worked with our DOF
Big Dick done ok for us

I know that’s in Italy but is it just me or is there a lot more clubs than usual looking for new managers this summer?
So many. Look at the 'big' clubs across Europe changing coach, Bayern, Chelsea, Barca, Liverpool, AC Milan, Ajax, Man Utd (possibly). Probably missing some there as well.
