100%. Most managerial sackings are effectively gardening leave. Managers get their usual weekly wage until they get a new job, or their contract is up.

I asked this. Didn't get a satisfactory answer. Maybe there is a general acceptance that the season is gone and nothing to be gained by appointing a 6th Head Coach of the season. We aren't going up, we aren't going down. Let the season play out and reset in the summer.
