Fair play to Dreyfus and Speakman.
They certainly can’t be accused of cosying up to the supporters with a popular ‘name’ appointment.

However, They have managed to find someone almost nobody wanted here. (That takes some doing)
Just reading what you’ve wrote
( that takes some )
Garbage at its best.

Surely no-one seriously thought we had a chance of Potter?

In terms of the other names linked - they were exactly that - just linked and with no foundation. Lazy journalism from every other random on twitter these days who claims to be ITK

I don't need to be inspired by my Head Coach, I just want him to win some games - if he could sort out the defence and win some away games, then that would be spiffing

I saw people on Twitter saying we should go for Potter.

You can’t trust people. People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis.

Beale has 20 years of coaching under his belt, spent 10 years during the good years at Chelsea (2002-2012) and was at Liverpool and had a stint in Brazil. Well renowned for his tactics as a coach and youth development, his rangers stint has ****ed his reputation and he needs to learn from it which I'm sure he will. It's clear he wasn't the main target but you can see why we have appointed him, his background in coaching and youth development is good and with top top clubs too. Everyone has a bad spell and his was Rangers and even then he had them with their second highest win percentage in their history. I have a feeling he can do well here but since a lot of fans think he is the antichrist he won't have too long to win them over

Even tho a massive stretch we've gone from a few on here hoping for Potter early doors or we were massively linked with Still who has a big reputation and massive potential and possibly an X factor. Firstly there was the Farioli link...it made me think we were looking in a European multi lingual direction.
So to end up with MB...
Like an earlier poster said I hope I end up with egg on my face and that you all come at me...wouldn't be the first time.
But I truly hope he does a good job. I was equally underwhelmed with TM.
I admit I'm no expert and there are many of you who know better.
But it's my opinion.
That’s fair enough mate and is honest. It’s the sensationalist dr evil **** I can’t abide.

Potter was (is) on £200k per week at Chelsea. They'll still be paying him until he gets a new job. Can you imagine him coming here on £10k per week and managing in The Championship? :emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

There are good reports and bad reports. Looking forward to the match reports so I can make a decision.

Well said. Every manager fails somewhere - Mowbray also failed in Scotland...... did ok for us though

He’s here now so needs to be given a chance.

Win on Saturday everything changes and fair play to the club for not taking notice of some of us and sticking to their plan.

One thing Rangers fans had an gripe about was him setting up not to lose. Interesting to see how that would work here because it’s something I’ve mentioned for a while, we concede at the first given opportunity and where we can’t win we often lose rather than seeing out a draw.

Making us solid at the back will only be a good thing imo, we’ll still create more than enough chances to win games.

Yeah me too. I think a load are. Its rare you see such vitriol across all forms of media, multiple platforms. Mostly saying the same thing, poor appointment and wont last the contract length.

really hope he proves us wrong and is a success but, its really hard to see so many unbiased reports saying this is a poor appointment and will wear thin quickly.
It just goes to show how it's easy to peddle a particular narrative on social media and watch it grow. Sure the podcasts and the like will be up in arms preferring a European coach they had never heard of a week ago. I hope he does well, there are no guarantees with any appointment but it helps if you have a vision and staff that share the same values. Just cos he was a failure at rangers doesn't mean he can't succeed here.

This. Mowbray had a much worse record with the Old Firm than Beale did. Only a 51% win rate.

He also had a better record at QPR than TM had here albeit a much smaller sample size.

Worth noting that when he left QPR last season they were 6th and finished 20th eventually. He actually had them top of the league at one point.
