I understand the sentiment in that but to play devils advocate I would say that if fans think it’s a bad appointment (which it looks on paper) then they have to make their feelings known also. To let the club off with the last 24 hours and meekly accept what appears to be a cheap appointment is wrong also.
We should demand excellence and it should be running through the club but as a fan base sometimes we don’t shout enough as it is “mag like”, this needs to change. Beale if appointed will have to get off to an absolute flyer otherwise it will get toxic quickly.

Sam, I am like the majority and yourself devastated, but your maybe be right. I have a couple of mates that flew down to Bristol last night and the players and Speakman were on the plane. One lad asked Speakman if the rumours were true about the new manager. His reply was “ Do not believe what your read in the press and social media, there will be an update on Monday”. Now I know it’s not convincing and it’s just what a father of one of the lads has told me this morning, but we can only pray.

How is it a cheap appointment? We will be paying Mowbray still, Beale would've been still getting paid by Rangers so we probably would've had to come close to that number. If this was an appointment based on money it would've been Dodds.

He hasnt been appointed though, its only rumours at this stage so why have a go at the club for something that hasnt even happened?

The owners n KS have earned our trust with how theyve turned our club around yet are getting hammered for something that hasnt happened

Maybe Beale has indicated he's happy to work in that kind of structure with Dodds supporting him and that's why he came in from nowhere so quickly.

Dodds has earned a big voice in first team affairs imho - it's one thing winning because you can gee up a team or you're just a change of scenery from the last man (as people we've given the job to before did), but he's beaten two good Championship teams with setup, execution and substitutions.

Such a lazy assumption

The 2 managers we have paid for in recent years were Steve Bruce and Jack Ross

Peter Reid, Roy Keane, Tony Mowbray, Gus Poyet and Alex Neil were all "cheap" options. They all turned out quite good though........... :emoticon-0133-wait:
