I'm not proud of it ToT, I was born in Princess Mary's Maternity Hospital but my mother had the good sense to get me out of there at the earliest opportunity.Half the people at the match are Geordies anyway, I used to be one until I was told you had to be a mag to qualify![]()
Here's a theory to perhaps try and cling to. People have suggested that the club had decided to give the job to Dodds but that Dodds only on Wednesday said he didn't want it and it's only then that Beale came into the reckoning.Glass half full time...
All reports say that Beale is a good coach and we know that Dodds is already. Hypotheticaly if Beale was to fail then Doods could potentially step up and Beale move into the coaching/player development role.
Possibly a plan B from the club
It would be very foolish of any new coach not to listen to those who know the players strengths. It’s almost inevitable they work with Proc and Dodds. I’d argue the last few weeks is evidence Mowbray didn’t listen enough which surprises me.Here's a theory to perhaps try and cling to. Maybe Head Coach is going to be a more collaborative role than it was under Mowbray, with Dodds having more authority and more of a tactical say (rather than just being tasked with individual player development) and maybe Beale was approached as he was seen as the best fit/most accepting of this given his own strengths and skillset
There's always going to be an element of ego involved but equally Dodds and Proctor may have considered themselves to be junior to Mowbray in the structure so may not have spoken up so much. Going forward, you'd assume Dodds will have more confidence to have input and the new head coach will be coming in to an environment where he's even more established. Sorry to hear you feel like that. You should feel comfortable and relaxed at games when you're supporting the lads and amongst fellow supporters.last time I went to the stadium of light I had a fan tell me to get out of the home end and **** off down south, presumably because he heard I was cockney. We weren’t even playing a London side.
I still get nervous around Sunderland fans since then. I’m nervous today. Such a sense of imposter syndrome which is so silly really
I can live with that - stating the obvious but a win and a loss gets you more points than two draws. One observation about Beales record is that although the win ratio is very good, he has a higher than you'd like loss ratio and very few draws.
He’s brayed loads of northerners with the wrong accent@Southern A how’s ya pre match build up going ?

Nope your a bit out.I'm not incorrect, Steve Neil doesn't have the power to disregard the FA and the police, end of story.
We're drawn against another football team who've been here before with less trouble than some others.
Unless we switch the tie we're obliged to host them.
I don't need a lesson on Newcastle's hatred, I was at the Rowell hat-trick game, play-off second leg and five out of the six in a row, etc.
My first ever visit, in the away section, was the 5-1 ... I'd previously only be able to get tickets in with the Mags.
The police have agreed to the allocation so it's down to them to police it.
A bigger allocation means it's less likely there'll be Mags in the Sunderland sections.
Enjoyed reading this article about the decision though, think it’s well thought out and makes some good points.

You can’t be unprofessional just because it’s the mags though. If they think they can keep it safe then so be it. I just hope we win and give the Saudi green washers a bloody nose.Nope your a bit out.
Neil has to give stewarding instructions and numbers, and if he thinks the allocation is manageable by those stewards, once inside its on him.
All 4 parties have to agree it will besafe inside the SOL.
You needn't brag at what games you have been to, I was there aswell.
#bilewatchjust parked up at long Ashton park and ride. Free parking and 20 mins stroll to the stadium. Will get on #bealewatch pronto

He has more say that the FA. They only say UP TO 15% "However this is subject to the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) agreeing to that ticket allocation number.I'm not, just saying I don't need to be told about the rivalry.
And Neil has no say on what the police and FA decide.

If they don’t think it’s safe, then they won’t get the full allocation, I’d like to think he’s professional enough to make an informed decision, however my head tells me he’s a mag ****
