All the appointments were correct but all three were slated. People also slated the club after each of them three departed, yet two proved to be correct and the third is on its way to being correct. Almost as if they know what they are doing and have earned the right to make decisions.
100% , you would think after year on year improvement the would of earned the fans trust,

I think that if you're going to speak publicly about having a 5 year plan, a model, and the aim being to return to the Premier league, you need to back it up. Sacking your head coach, and then appointing the first team coach who nobody even considered as a candidate on the back of two games , shows their plan went to ****e and they couldn't get who they wanted. Then the question has to be why not?

Do not insult my intelligence and even suggest that Dodds was considered or lined up to take over from Mowbray, as we all know it wasn't the case.

If and when he gets it now its a knee jerk reaction, and they clearly couldn't get their man. Considering this huge data base of coaches they supposedly have whereby they consistently monitor coaches, its very ****ing poor.
Its like we havent moved forward since theyve come in?? They have got every decision spot on with managers so far - all have moved us forward and got us a step closer to the PL.

You keep making stuff up about it all going to s**t because theyve appointed Dodds - they havent appointed him!!

I cant be done with folk slagging a club about things that havent even happened. I dont expect fans to all agree with the decisions the club made but its crazy to slag the club you support about a decision that youve made up in your head

We dont know if Dodds was ever in the running or not, we dont see how he is behind the scene.

Keep making stuff up about what might or might not happen - lets just let it play out

The irony.

Considering he's trying to me that they had perhaps identified dodds as the man to take over prior to these two games.

Give it a rest and tag me next time
I never said that, i dont know who they have identified - like you dont!

Not sure why i bother responding back, you are just going to keep slagging the club for something that hasnt even happened (and something you have zero inside knowlegde off)

Don't then, speak about me indirectly like a right little tuppence. Top bloke.

Oh dear, are you feeling left out, bless.

I answered you directly, when it was appropriate ...

... then answered a question about three different people calling me by name, which is pretty infantile tbh.

Am I supposed to tag all three, bearing in mind tags don't even work on this forum <doh>

No I’m just saying, he might not know all the names and Still might be one he doesn’t know. He is saying he knows there are more in the running from abroad but hasn’t said who they are. So one could be him.

If he's saying that there's more names in the running that means they're a lot further away than where we are. If that's the case and they were seriously interested in Still they'd have to make a big push now for him, which would get a lot of attention. So I doubt Still is anywhere near the top of their list (looks more like Espirito Santo is close to the top).

The Hellberg thing is the real head scratcher. He would seem a good fit. If he's been interviewed and outright knocked back without an almost guaranteed alternative agreed, I dont understand why he goes to Hammerby. I know we're all prone to inflating Sunderland's importance but surely levels and levels above that. He would of had to have had the worst interview of all time. Unless there's something off, like he doesn't speak english, I can't see it.

The club got slaughtered for looking at other coaches in the summer lol

You can't always get what you want,
But if you try sometime you'll find,
You get what you need.

Just looked at Reims fixtures. Next Wednesday is their last game for 3 weeks (winter break). Can imagine a scenario where he comes end of next week after that last game
Would fit with Dodds saying he’s prepping for the Bristol and Coventry games. The only thing is, if Dodds knew Still was coming in next week then I think he’d have more robustly distances himself from the job when quizzed on it last night.

Perhaps the club are using Dodds, with his connivance, as a bargaining chip with Reims ...

... 'Don't get carried away with the compo lads, we have a great candidate already.'

Has anything new developed since last night?

Been at work all day and I don’t fancy going through the last 20 odd pages etc

Still in for Still? Or is Dodds the main man?

Even last season I’d have been thinking “For ****’s sake Kyril, pay the angry Frenchmen, grab bonfire bollocks and get your **** together”

Now I think we’re clinging to the past.

The current Director of Football setup offers much greater stability than a manager that controls everything.

The last two appointments have been spot on, and each one has improved the club.

We don’t need to hire Dodds full time, or pay an extortionate fee to a pack of cheese munching cock blockers. We can keep going for weeks if necessary.
