Pretty sure after the Wicky 'news' broke yesterday he said something like 'his name has been put in' in response to whether the news was true or not. Then a few minutes later Romano categorically denied it. Not exactly sure what 'his name has been put in' means but doesnt sound like a denial to me. Dont believe a lot of what he says if I'm honest.
I'm still gutted that we haven't agreed with Wicky, I actually really like the look of him

I wonder (don't want to speculate) what the delay in closing it would be. Could well have been him holding things up, with us not being forceful enough in closing it. Or it could have been us and he's grown impatient. It's hard to know.

Neither of them are brilliant from the club but to varying degrees.
Could simply be that he couldn’t sign a contract until 1st June under the terms of his Reims departure.

All agreed in principle but in that scenario the club’s hands are tied in having anything more binding in place.

Me too. Luckily I was in a 2 hour meeting during the period yesterday when he was hevaily linked until he was heavily denied. So I didn't go thru that emotional rollercoaster "live". I like the look of WIcky more than I do Still.

Of course we have. He has been here twice. We have been in Comms since Christmas. Surely no one things we have not been well interested into appointing him? Issue is, he hasn't commited.
This for me is why I think we should move on, if he is the one holding it up then he hasn’t got 100% interest in joining the club. My club is way bigger than the will stills of the world and I would rather have a head coach that would put his whole into getting this club back to where we once were

If this is true move on for me, he hasn't done that much in football management to warrant a bidding war
That would be my view as well. I can think of a few I would happily have here. However, it would appear he has been mumber one target for a long time and for that to be the case those paid to make the decision must really think he is the right man. If I were of that opinion I would pay up.

Us and Lens have offers on the table. He goes to the highest bidder.
Mad how we have nothing reporting us to Still bar sky saying he is being considered yet Lens have been reported by very credible people saying he is set to be appointed there. I'm forgetting about Still personally. The echo shut down wicky quick, makes me feel like the club briefed them, in that same article they said we are not close to an agreement with anyone and we are still assessing our options. Not looking good

I am different on this. Let's say Still wants a new front bench etc and wands shot of Dodds and Proctor as he feels they are not up to scratch etc. I have more respect for that. All allegedly of course...

I was all in on Will Still but these last weeks have showed me that he thinks he is bigger than the club. Need to move onto someone else now imo.

Wouldn't be surprised if he has been tipped off by Lens when Nice came in for their manager.

I feel so heavily conflicted at the moment to be honest. I desperately want us to get our first choice Head Coach. But I genuinely don't have a good feeling about Will Still.

If he does sign, which feels a long shot now, then I'll be delighted. But only because I think it will unite the fans and mean this saga is over.

But I don't think he's the messiah and be-all and end-all that he's been built up to be. He could be an absolute disaster.

I guess the answer is to just chill out and what will be will be.

And at least this is keeping this early summer pre-Euros period interesting. Then we go into the Euros for some fun, then the transfer merry go round.

No way we get rid of dodds and proctor for someone and thats a bigger problem than having no HC and the reason

Would the club really be daft enough to try and force those 2 on a new coach? One they have tracked for months?

I'd love to say no but.....

"no way"? You're having a laugh right? There's zero evidence of that whatsoever.

KLD "desperate" to bring Still in but only if he gets to keep Dodds and Proc? Makes no sense and is simply there to suit narratives.

I don't believe for one second that this would end up being the problem. KLD hasn't been pursuing a guy for 6 months to let it fall through for Dodds and Proctor.

We saw it with Beale, he wasn't allowed to bring his own staff in there is your evidence
